Spike has engine trouble, gasses badly send slows to a crawl, becomes increasingly hittable ......whereas Lemmy, despite his flabby physique, has s decent engine, doesn't particularly slow down, become more hittable. That's the difference. Sorry buttsy but you're clutching at straws here and no matter what way you come at this ...GGG kos spike brutally every time and twice on Sunday!

What do you see in Spike?

He is as basic as they come and arguably still domestic level.

Buttsy is having a bit of a wind up....he knows spike is basic. :) the modern game sadly lacks real characters....IB knows this and is simply giving one of the few characters out there a big plug that's all.....harmless fun and gives spike a bit of a boost.

lol the difference in pop is not slightly, Lemieux is in another league power wise, blatantly. imo Spike would last longer with GGG than he would Lemieux

Once upon a time there was an African American known as Floyd Money Mayweather!!! When he chose to fight Berto as last real boxing match fans to this day complain about that choice in opponent.
But it’s okay for GGG, arguably one of the middleweights of all time gets a pass for fighting O’Sullivan.:nonono
Charlo would gladly take it, Jacobs would take it. BJS is the only one who wouldn’t take it. Stop making excuses for GGG and his team. They are trying to pull a Thurman and not fight any credible threat. Because they don’t want to lose the Canelo fight.... I thought Gennady was a warrior who didn’t fight for money:eek:

You do know boxing is a business first and foremost don't you ?? You would have to be very stupid to not do what team GGG are doing right now

Then don’t act like you’re the best middleweight if you fighting Spike O’. I mean I don’t remember at any point GGG going out of his way to avoid a mandatory but like they say there’s a first time with everything /shrug. Boxing is business. Unfortunately boxing is also very racist. I would respect GGG if he said I don’t want to fight a threat as we are waiting the red headed money train

Clearly Golovkin is a huge favourite in this one. It ought to be a ritual slaughter. I'd rather see Derevyanchenko.

If Golovkin ends up fighting Spike you have to call duck.

Andrade is clearly a more dangerous opponent and has made it clear he will step in, failure to make that fight is a clear duck.

I agree with @IntentionalButt that GGG is on the down side of his career. But nothing in Spike's style makes me pick him to win. GGG by TKO or KTFO. Under 9 rounds.

Yep, in still the greatest upset in boxing history, as well as one of the greatest upsets in sports history as a whole...

If you take that as a reference, hardly any mismatch would be a mismatch anymore. Don't care if Spike L Sullivan is in the Ring 160lbs top10, it's still a mismatch, a showcase stay busy fight.
