You do realize you’re going to end up the minority here. I’m certainly not knocking your train of thought I just can’t convince myself to even remotely agree.

First how can you honestly still feel Ward would avoid a less than highly complicated fighter like GGG? Sure GGG is an awesome force with excellent offense, power and chin however he isn’t exactly the most innovative guy in the ring. I should definitely see the larger arguably more adjustable and versatile Ward UDing him.

Secondly, I’m still shocked by the amount of fans that still invest so much stock in relevancy of opponent comparisons and performances. I think it plays a role and I would never discount the information a trainer could gain from watching the tape but it would be silly and naive to think you could make a legitimate prediction by using that logic alone. Maybe it’s just me since I’m in a business that uses analytics to make informed decisions everyday.

My point is styles make fights and there are plenty of examples that contradict the triangle theory (Cotto-Mosley-Margo), (Ali-Frazier-Foreman) and these are more evolved examples since the theory is shattered more often than it should be in lower level fights.

No version of Golovkin comes remotely close to stopping Andre Ward. Golovkin would be so lost in a ring with Ward he'd make the Tito of the Hopkins bout look like a paragon of pugilistic perspicacity. Fight was always a mismatch. At any point in time, Ward leads him around the ring like a father leads his small child by the hand, gradually picking him apart with the indifference of a cruel kid picking the wings off a bug. Different levels of fighter, with a size disparity to boot.

Seriously just decide it... Is it going to be Joshua or Golovkin? What is next Ward vs Lomachenko!?

Size disparity I agree, different levels i'm afraid I don't. I wouldn't of liked to have seen the fight as Ward ruins any close competitive fights with that dog shite wrestling

Bro. I wish it was Spike now. Dan Rafael is saying it will be Jaime Munguia, contingent on NSAC approval :(

Golovkin to Canelo: "Catchweights are disgraceful"
Golovkin to Ward: "Fight has to be at a catchweight or nothing"
