Holmes came along just as the golden era was winding down. He reigned 7 years. So what if he's coming up just after Lewis ?
K brothers are there as are a good few east Europeans .Question is ,could he realistically reign so long as he did ?

A prime bad ass Holmes rips the k brothers to pieces. And the rest of the division back then.

No as well at all.. I have my doubts about if he could even beat vitali or wladimir.prime Holmes weighed 209 pounds and he was not as mobile as ali he would have a lot of problems with the athletic giants Of this era

Holmes didn't have many super heavyweight sized people in his prime to fight in his championship days.
Both Klitschko's I think are better than anyone Holmes beat, so its unlikely he'd remain on top for as long or go 48-0 before losing.

Could be champion though between 2003-2012. Holmes was an excellent boxer with speed, durability, with a good punch selection. 12 rounds might hurt him. He was better of as a 15 round fighter. The unknown would be how would Holmes age?

Holmes slowed down by age 34, Wlad and Vitali did slow down until around age 38-40.

He might duck the K brothers.

Wlad would pose problems for Holmes. Big athletic with a great jab of his own and that big right - which was a Holmes Achilles heel.

Vitali could too but I think Vitali being a little less athletic than his brother and not nearly the puncher could be outboxed by Holmes.

Haye would be tough. Very athletic and fast. Explosive too.
He couldn’t reach Wlad’s chin because Wlad was very quick coupled with his size and his power that came back at you, I think a fight with Holmes would be a barn burner.

He beats the rest. Thompson, Povetkin, Peter, Briggs, Adamek, Ruiz, Arreola, just to name a few.

Do you think that he was fast and mobile enough? Let's face the facts.. Holmes had a lot of problems and got hurt badly by lesser fighters than the klitschkos.
If holmes wins it would be the hardest fight of his career without a doubt

I think all the southpaws cause problems---in addition to the above reasons stated.

I think he'd go fine, not exactly a breathtaking era. He'd outbox Vitali and stop Wlad version 1 which would give him the wood on him in a later rematch probably

Holmes would hold onto the Ring and lineal titles for 20 years while Wlad pulls a Sven Ottka in Europe.

Vitali has a crack off Holmes but comes up short before fleeing to back to Europe to avenge Wlads loss to one of his cherry picked contenders.
