Update on Tyson Fury training comeback

He looks in really good shape. Seems to be in a good place mentally, too. He’ll be back, probably in June. It is frustrating though.

That’s not true. He does not sound like an ex-smackhead.

He sounds like a current smackhead.

 

The problem is the opponents he has suggested he fight are deplorable and could not be marketed.

He got throat punched in training. Damaged it quite badly.

 

Exactly when and where did this happen? Because he’s had that cocaine rasp in his voice for a couple years now. If he’s damaged that badly that it’s permanent, probably shouldn’t be licensed.

 

Is it this that's making him draw a sharp breath after every sentence too?

Yeah he's had some major issues with it, some of the interviews shortly after he could barely speak. Damage to the voice box can take years to heal.

 

I’ve been suffering for a while with this voice. I got punched in the throat about 18 months ago by a great light-heavyweight fighter called Ty Mitchell.

‘It’s left me with this voice, now this sounds quiet sexy to some people, but it’s stopped my singing for a year because I can’t really get to those notes that I used to.

‘I sound like I’ve been on the drink for days, everyone just thinks I’m a wild lunatic.’

The Gypsy King says the punch in sparring caused a blood clot in his throat, although this injury may not be as troubling as it sounds.

‘I’ve been to the hospital I’ve had the camera down me old throat and I’ve got a blood clot in the back of the throat, not a serious one that can harm me because it can only go down into the stomach sooner or later.

‘I’m not in any rush – it’s not causing me any pain, the sexy voice will not last forever.’

 

I don't want to be too harsh, but this Ben Davidson "trainer" he's hanging out with just seems like .... well, some young guy he's hanging around with .... someone who indulges Tyson's clowning, singing and dnacing along to his music on endless instagram posts ....
Okay, he's a fitness/boxing trainer and they are working out a lot. Tyson's lost the weight. Good.
But it's as if Fury's just picked some young 25 year old dude who's just happy to be associated with him.

 

The way I’ve seen it too. Can’t be too harsh because he has lost the weight but there’s a lot of clowning around between the pair and Tyson probably gets away with a lot more than he would’ve with Peter.

 

So it's almost summer time.
Does Fury have a fight scheduled? Maybe even a 6 rounder?

 

There’s nothing solid but it’s the worst kept secret he’s fighting for Warren on a card in Manchester in June! Opponent and number of rounds are unknown.
