4 weeks today and we have the main event, ward v Tennyson and Ryder v Cox. Joe Joyce will be added, looks like Tom little, underwhelming to say the least. What else can we expect? Are they reluctant to make fights incase it gets pulled again? I have tickets for this, the appeal for the rematch has gone as the first fight was so long ago. Very underwhelmed by it all.
It sell but not close in comparison to first that overacheived due wwe style back forth comments trash haye bellew ppl think with big undercsrd maybe get close but card looks poor and it isn't as hyped up as previous fight in all honestky thought first fight was ok mot great but alot ppl i know who are normally not interested in boxing bought it and were dissapointed. Thimk Eddie be in for a shock with numbers think do well but no where near first fight
Thank you for saying that, I thought it was just me. Their stable is terrible. He hasn't got the fighters or the world wide pull to put on stacked undercards. Nothing sinks the heart, boxing wise, than a yafai or Burnett title defence on a ppv card. Any decent undercard fight normally ends with a late pull out. The Joshua Parker show was awful except for Povetkin price and the ' casuals ' will get bored of these ' events ' before the hardcore do ,
Agree. You see a hearn undercard with what you know is going to be a couple of 12 round snoozefests and it just sends shivers up your spine.
The undercard is shite because Haye will line his own pockets and not spend it on the undercard. If he did we would have had Joyce v chisora etc.
I don’t think that’s fair mate. Yes it’s a joint promotion, but the onous should be on hearn/sky to ensure value as the host promoter. Even Hearn thinks Chisora should take the fight/offer for Joyce - he hasn’t said that directly but you can see from his body lanaguage when he’s been asked about it.
People slate match room undercards... Because Dave/ITV/channel 5 and box nation under cards are worse!! But yeah this fight doesn't sell as well. Hope Bellew is serious about going back to cruiserweight to fight wbss winner.
TBH mate your line of it's a joint promotion but the onus should be on matchroom?? Why it's a 50/50 undercard. Think matchroom tried to get the ibf world title on there for butler v Rodriguez, Callum Johnson etc and a few other fights but looks like not of money left in the pot. Remember Haye is getting less than last time also so he won't be arsed about the undercard.
Even Don Charles said that Chisora should have taken the Joyce offer. How can anyone blame Haye for that fight not happening?
