The HW division really misses Vitali. What a great HW fighter he was.

I loved Vitali's staredowns. He reduced grown men into nervous 5-year-olds with his ice-cold Soviet-era stare.

That's the proof right there. Vitali took bombs from Lennox that tore the flesh off his face, yet he didn't go down.

Is Methuselah the dude that came up with the ol 1-2 and the shoulder roll or do I have him confused with someone else?

Think you need to watch more boxing... Since when has Vitali EVER had devastating power in one hand let alone both? He's an accumulation puncher, Wlad was the only brother with genuine one punch power. Vitali had heavy hands but that's it. As for a comeback now at 46? Joshua, wilder and Parker light him up like a Christmas tree.

He's too old for Joshua, but might be able to take Wilder at age 47-47. If he comes back, he needs to fight journeyman first. Only with a good showing would I advise the Wilder fight.

An active Hall of fame fighter? Very rare.

I think it is you who doesn't understand boxing. 41 knockouts in 45 fights.

That can't be done unless you have devastating power. I never said anywhere that he had one punch power.

Joshua I'm sure you would argue has devastating power, yet is also an accumulation puncher.

Devastating power would mean power to render someone unconscious, not having to throw 100 punches a round in order to break them down. Vitali had reasonable power but a fantastic engine. Wlad had devastating power.

Vitali coming back now would be bad for his health. He won't have the engine he use to and those arm punches won't put a dent in any of the current crop of top heavies. He'd be a kayo in waiting.
