It’s not Haye’s fault but Chisora hasn’t made any noise whatsoever from the start about being interested so have alternatives lined up.
The thing is guv, it’s sky that we are going to be paying the PPV money too not David Haye. As it’s sky and matchroom platform, IMO they are the ones responsible for quality control over the event as it’s their reputations on the line not Haye’s. We all know that David would take the money and run given the chance. Even Hearn has said about the quality control in the past for major events like AJ. He also made a major deal out of making it public that he basically told the Eubanks to take a hike when they where apparently making ridiculous demands for a GGG PPV. Even though they would have essentially owned the show in Hearns own words, he wasn’t prepared to potentially damage the matchroom brand with their nonsense.
Doesn't look exactly good value for £20. So what we have so far is a Dave/Channel 5 card with.... Haye vs Bellew (Does anyone care anymore?) Ward vs Tennyson (A euro level Featherweight vs a Bristish level Feather) Ryder vs Cox (2 Brit level S.Middleweights) Would be a decent card as a regular Sky show, but £20?!!! They need to find Joyce a bona fide top 50 opponent add Chisora vs Takam, and put a few matchroom youngsters on the lower undercard but who is available? Fowler is on the Khan card, give Kelly a run out? Dave Allen is fighting in Walsall on the Friday, they could have got that fight on the undercard.
More interested in Ryder vs cox tbh card is very poor .let's be honest whoever wins this "hw" battle won't even get close to winning a world title at hw .dont mind paying for ppv if it's great undercard or main event with few decent fights undercard but this is 2 over the hill guys fighting at wrong weight will have no significance on anything at hw after it's done pointless
Ryder impressively knocked out Nielsen in his last fight who was ranked highly by the WBA. Pushed BJS all the way, and imo was robbed against Fielding and Arnfield. I really like the lad. If he beats Cox (I reckon he will) he will get a world title shot.
