Dempsey was great against big men. Foreman is considered unstoppable against swarmers but he's old here.

    Who wins?

Yes no reason for insults when someone merely proposes a match up-exactly what this website is about. Someone who posits mental illness merely for this...Seems to have issues.

I gotta go with Big George.
Dempsey had some chin, but the only one who likely had comparable power was Firpo.
But he had limited skill & no beard compared to Foreman.

Size would matter here. The proposed match up is as they were, not Dempsey with Lee Haney at his side to bulk up to Evander's muscular weight & get more aerobically fit.

Also Dempsey was tired after his ferocious initial assault on Willard.
    George would be going nowhere.
A swarmer would have more trouble than a boxer like Holyfield.
So either Dempsey gets KOed eventually, or he he lands more often for a decision.

An 187 lb. swarmer would not likely be out of range for enough shots to score a decision.
Foreman, near 8-10 round KO as Dempsey absorbs several knock downs before then.

I think that Dempsey would dismantle him at this stage to be honest.

Sentiment aside, Foreman was generally losing against the best of the division, at this stage of his career.

Incidentally I give him a lot of credit, for being the only great heavyweight to beat the odds, and KO father time.

I just don't think that he had it left in him, to beat another all time great in their prime.

Match him with one who was a devastating finisher, and he probably gets served up like all the other greats who fought on too long.

Foreman way too big and strong for Dempsey, batters him with his telephone pole jab and crushes him on the inside.

Why Combates? You are often mean & childish for no reason.
YOU start fights with people continually. Would you do that in person?
Do you deny that folks who are often gratuitously demeaning & mean tend to have issues?
Or are adolescents trying to attract attention.

Please keep the commentary to respectful debate.

what i meant is that i did not write it because this thread and the creator of this thread know perfectly why i said what i said . and you talk from the ignorance because you read a single thing now and you think that you can judge a complete history that you don't know, so better why you don't close your mouth?

Dempsey fights a smart fight ,in and out causing Foreman's face to swell .George has limited success here, though he does catch him with that ram rod jab .Dempsey wins 11 round s to 4 .

Dempsey is able to fight a smart fight going in and out against Foreman? Doesn't the young Dempsey just want to tear into the big slow footed Foreman?

At this point, I'd favor Dempsey slightly tbh.
