Naw, he didn't want Wilder to confront him because in his mind he has no intention of fighting Wilder. There's no reason not to promote this fight unless he's scared, apprehensive or whatever word that works. I used to give him the benefit of the doubt but he never deserved it.

Wilders set to earn somewhere between $24 Million & $30 Million for the two fights with Joshua and that’s a conservative figure. That’s probably 10X what he’s earned in his career to date, he should forget about percentages and think about where else he’d get that kind of purse

I still don't think Joshua nor Wilder are afraid of each other, but it was a very BS move by Hearn offering Wilder 20%, when you consider the fact that Parker got 33% and no way will AJ take 20% in the rematch if he loses to Wilder.

That's the worst mentality ever lmfao, Thank God you're not advising me or anyone else, you would run many businesses into the ground. You realize that you also have to think about the potential earnings for Joshua.

Just because you haven't hit it big before doesn't mean you should just settle. In the business world, you are worth what you value yourself at.

If you don't even think you're worth 20% of what the fight is worth, you're in the wrong business.

Wilder brings a lot to the table. Joshua needs Wilder as well, it's not a one way street!

You have to think about the whole picture, not what you earned before.

How about 50-50 purse and wilder keeps 100% of America ppv and Joshua 100% of UK ppv

Seems the fairest way to me

From AJ's own mouth he said he was going to give Wilder an offer he cannot refuse.

So he was lying out of his teeth giving that propaganda to his cronies and knew it the whole time. He doesn't want the fight. Doesn't make business sense either because this is at least 2 highest of the high boxing purses in a row if he was confident he would survive and not get ruined.

And that is the problem. Wilder thinks he is worth the same as Joshua.
No matter what anyone thinks money talks. Joshua makes 14 times what wilder makes a fight and is bringing 20x more to the table.

Definitely the end of the line fight for AJ.

Actually, he doesn't, he changed his tune and expects 35-40% (Fair amount).

I suspect he'll be getting around that ballpark soon.

You have no solid argument for him to make a flat fee of 10 m lmfao. None.

The fight is a super hw fight. Lots of money to go around

Both need each other, both have good fanbases. This fight will be massive in the UK and USA.

Yep. 35 percent is the least Wilder should take

So the half hybrid is disappointed with 15 mil compared to the 8 that Parker got?

    2 major belts vs 1.

    3 major belts vs 1.

Well why would he when in a rematch again all the revenue would come from Joshua.

A rematch if Wilder won he could take majority but no way as big as 80% as AJ still is the money man regardless

How much bigger, in the UK, will this fight be compared to the Parker fight? I just cant see it being that much bigger. Bigger stadium adding up to 15000 tickets but anybody willing to pay for an Anthony Joshua PPV would already be doing so, there is not alot more money to squeeze out of the UK market no matter who Joshua is fighting.

So this being a bigger fight in financial terms depends on just how much Wilder can bring to the table, do we look forward and guess what Wilder could bring with the American market taking in to account the significance of the fight or do we look back on facts and stats which suggests he brings not a great deal to a prime time slot and would only do worse if he was fighting live in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday.

Im really wondering if the money generated is not a great deal more than the Parker fight 15 million may turn out to be a decent number in percentages. I cant recall what AJ got himself for the Parker fight.
