People didn't talk about splits for Mayweather vs Maidana, why do they for AJ vs Wilder?

Same equation. One is a mega star, the other is just a guy with a belt.

Wilder should accept his $12M flat feet and be thankful, it's way more than Maidana got for Floyd. Forget 60-40 ego ****, Floyd Maidana was like 90-10 but no one mentions it.

Yep and Maidana changed his life twice with those paydays. They were great for him

Agenda driven 'fans'... You wear the shoe when it fits.

Watch them call AJ a diva for the things he learned from Floyd.

I'd be shocked if the wilder/floyd fans acted any other way tbh.

Wilder/Floyd fans are very much like the fans of the band "the village people" .

    Except more dramatic.

You're right, AJ made way more than Floyd had at same stage in career.

Maidana also took home an extra million or something to not wear his preferred gloves.

Joshua should go ahead and knock Wilder out and get it over with. Wilder wants all the money and Joshua will not allow such. Let Wilder go back and fight his winos from the alley!

Putting up Mayweather for this is a bad call I think, because Floyd was notorious for lowballing his opponents and undercard fighters, while on the same handing them career high or even life altering purses.
The trick of putting a Mexican on the undercard on the Mexican holidays he hijacked, netted him millions of $ due to extra PPV sales on top of their purses.
Or just fight a Mexican himself.
Also his $40m flat fee offer to Pac was seen as a great offer by the floydettes, while others saw it as a blatant lowball offer just because in boxing 2+1 doesn't always equal 3, but a much higher number due to the demand.

In this case, a flat fee that's lower as what Parker got is a lowball offer in itself. It would mean they expect to make slightly less as against Parker, which of course is ridiculous. Pretty sure if they give Wilder the same or an even slightly lower percentage of the cut as Parker got, he will make significantly more as that $12m what he got offered.

That said, it's also Wilder's only chance on such a insanely high payday, and sadly for him Joshua and Hearn are calling the shots in this one.

It's a lowball offer, but maybe he should take it anyway.

Different situations. Mayweather didn't care for legacy or unifying like Joshua. Mayweather low balled other titlists because he could, if they didn't want the fight another titlist would be happy to earn a few mill facing him.

Joshua unlike Mayweather wants to unify, he cares about legacy more and so Parker and Wilder could squeeze him for more. If Joshua didn't care about unifying he could just walk away and tell Wilder to enjoy fighting for peanuts and anonymity for the rest of his career while he fights for 15-20 mill per fight for the rest of his career in the UK. But he does care about unifying so Wilder knows he can squeeze more out of Hearn and Joshua than Maidana ever could.

Fact is Wilder really only cares about what he will be paid. He might say he doesn't care about money but that's clearly his driving motivation. He only took up boxing for the money to help his daughter, money is why he boxes. He never tried to unify with Wlad as that would of not paid him significantly more than he gets now and he didn't unify with Parker when their teams discussed a possible fight after Joshua/Wlad because there wasn't enough money on the table.

If this fight is to happen they will have to pay Wilder at the very minimum what Parker got. Wilder will happily walk away and be paid peanuts the rest of his career he doesn't give a **** about legacy, he will sit on the WBC belt for another 3 years and fight Haymon fighters until he retires if needed. Joshua wouldn't be happy until he unifies that's the difference between these two and why Wilder will have to be paid more than a flat fee for this fight to happen.
