Haters gonna hate. Fact is Joshua has shown nothing but tremendous ambition from the very start of his career. He's been lucky he's had the platform from the Olympics to do so but it doesn't change the fact he's only ever looked to make fights that mattered once he got a title. World title in his 16th fight followed by 2 defences vs Haymon fighters due to options Haymon got from the Martin fight. Wlad fight was made as soon as it became apparent it was a possibility. He didn't sit on his IBF belt looking to fight the Arreola's, Szpilka's etc he took the most dangerous fight available to unify. Some said it was all talk but it's clear it wasn't. Then fought a mandatory. Then unified again when some people said he would duck Parker. Now looking to either become undisputed or fight Povetkin a dangerous mandatory. Just goes to show a fighter can do pretty much everything the fans want but you'll still never please everyone, some are just predisposed to be contrarian.
Eh? So you actually believe that whatever the initial offer was this week was "one-time" "take it or leave it" ... and that Hearn will not be coming back to Wilder with an improved offer?
What nonsense. Wilder comes to the UK and sparks Joshua he can then fight Tyson Fury in an event promoted by Frank Warren with no Matchroom involvement and make £10m+ easily. That would sell out a stadium and be BT PPV.
Haha. Tyson Fury struggles to fill a phone box Remind me how those ticket sales for Wlad 2 at the MEN went again?
So Sky offer to pay for Wilder to come to the UK and be ringside for Joshua vs Parker - but this isn't evidence they want to make the Wilder Joshua fight. Hearn LITERALLY makes an offer to Wilder to fight Joshua - but this also isn't evidence they want to make the fight. Hearn will undoubtedly come back soon with an improved offer for Wilder to fight Joshua - but I'm guessing this still isn't evidence that they want to make the fight. And the reason we know all this is because Joshua didn't formally arrange for Wilder to enter the ring after the Parker fight (assuming Joshua won). Jeez. I need to take a lie down..
Deceptive talk.. You can't compare the total worth of this mega fight to Wilder's previous fights on regular TV and tell him he should be happy with 5 times what he made against Johan Dohaplass. Thats not how it works
No one knows what has been offered but making an offer is not necessarily indicative of intent to make a fight if it is derisory. If I’m a football chairman and I make a £20m bid for Mo Sallah, does that mean I’m actually trying to sign him?
Yes it's obviously non negotiable. Just like Wilder demanding 50/50 or no fight was non negotiable. Or when Parker said 60/40 was a final offer, clearly non negotiable.
How can anyone believe what Hearn says about revenue potential anyway? He doesn’t release PPV numbers and has dodgy deals with StubHub. Wouldn’t believe a word he says about revenue.
Holy **** Because it’s not a bad split. Anyone with half a brain knows that. It’s 4 x his biggest ever payday, with another 6 x his biggest payday if he actually wins. If this fight isn’t made it is PURELY wilders teams fault. No body else’s. That’s an amazing offer for a bloke who sells less than David Allen.
