No version of Arreola beats a fighter of Wilder's calibre. He never achieved it in reality so there's no reason to suppose he'd do it in theory.

He might make it to the finish line, but that's about all he achieves.

No doubt Wilder is the better specimen but it's a valid point that he struggled with the same Molina that a prime Arreola put away in a round.

Desperate times = Desperate measures for US heavyweight boxing I guess.

All these terrific prospects from Europe - Joyce, Dubois, Hrgovic etc....Plus the likes of Usyk/Gassiev stepping up.

How long before Tyson is asked if he want's another go?

It's really not a valid point unless you consider their common results against Stiverne as well, and that paints Arreola in a worse light than Wilder's harder than expected fight against Molina, since Chris didn't just struggle with Stiverne but was battered and KTFO by him.

Arreola was probably shot vs Stiverne both times. That said, the second Stiverne fight I had him winning before he got clipped. Battered and KTFO is a bit of an overstatement.

Fury mentioned him earlier as a comeback opponent but doubt it. Will probably be a cab driver from the UK.

Arreola got his best win between the Stiverne fights, so I don't see how you can say he was shot both times, or either time.

Molina was definitely green when Arreola fought him however.

Saying Arreola "is back" would be suggesting he was once good..

I dunno about that. Was Abell green also? He has crept up in rankings. I say he was shot because he was super poor in fights after Stiverne, leading to possibility he was shot for Stiverne fights. Mitchell had already had his ass handed back to him by Wlad's trainer.

If he was shot the second time for Stiverne then he wouldn't have done as well as he did, no? Personally, I'd say the fearsome knockout he suffered might have contributed quite a bit to his decline, along with his generally awful conditioning.

I'm not bigging Mitchell up, but he's literally Arreola's best win on record. That's how poor his resume is.

Well no. It could simply mean he's back to fighting bums and losing every fight at top-level (only now replace top level with obese journeyman).
