I'm pretty sure degale would be very frail at middleweight and bjs has far more lucrative business at mw and certainly doesn't need to be yoyoing or moving up

I agree that BJS doesn’t need to move up, but I can see why he would. He wants the big fights but Canelo won’t entertain him, and GGG has apparently chosen other directions when a contract has been put on the table in the past. He’s a fighter who doesn’t rely on power anyway so it’s not like he loses any advantage moving up in weight. It’s a nightmare trying to land on him, and I would say a fight with Degale would make him a 2 weight world champion.

It’s a shame he’s not on the sky platform because at his very best, he’s got a style similar to Sugar Ray Leonard and a real marmite character that would see casual (sorry for using the term) fans want to see him either win or get knocked out. Some people slate the travellers but loyalty is clearly an attribute of there’s.

This would be at SMW for De Gales belt

And why would BJS move up...its the biggest money fighting De Gale. Due to the fact there are no big money fights available for him at the moment at MW.

Makes no sense for Degale. He should pay his mandatory off and with groves v Smith winner. Then retire win or lose.

I don't see Degale risking missing out on Smith or Groves. I bet his desperate for Groves to win the WBSS

After the first Truax fight Warren stated that if a Degale had won he was looking to promote Degale v BJS presumably for Degale title ! Like most if it happens Degale will be beat !

Surely his next fight is a cash out to whoever wins the WBS Final?

The only reason for this fight is if they can justify it on PPV. Although I don't think BJS should be resorting to it just yet. And DeGale only should be if he really is shot.

Haye and Bellew have laid the blueprint. You look up two weights or down two weights for any opponent that you can possibly engineer as a PPV fight.
