Where do you rate Andre Ward all time p4p? And at 168?

How is joe number 1 at 168? Who did he ever beat other than a 44 year old Hopkins?

Wards resume blows joe away..and a prime Roy Jones who dismantled James Toney toys with Calzaghe

Coddled? He went undefeated fighting the likes of Kovalev 2x, Froch, Dawson, Kessler, Abraham, Bika

Dawson, Froch, Kessler and a fading Abraham equals 3 and a 1/2.

How many times did he fight further than an hour away from his home town?

Still, he is either 1 or 2 at SMW.. with Jones, Jr. a close 3.

    Hopkins was at 175 anyway.
But wait a second, in your next post you mention "Kessler" and "Bika" to say Ward wasn't coddled.
The same Kessler and Bika who Calzaghe beat years before.

Calzaghe has weak resume. But Ward's isn't much better.

Yes Kessler was a good win for joe. The only good prime fighter he defeated

The fact Ward bumped up to 175 and twice defeated a prime great fighter in kovalev shows his worthiness.

Ward also made Dawson look silly at 168 shortly after Dawson easily beat Hopkins

Far too many to mention. Since I don't rate Ward in the top 40 Light Heavyweights (Which was the second heaviest weight class for almost 100 years) it is not conceivable that he makes any P4P list. He is a very effective spoiler who has benefitted from a relatively weak era. And he has ALWAYS gotten favorable judging and choice of venue for important fights.

And, for the record, The Roy Jones that beat James Toney at 168 would have clearly beaten any version of Andre Ward.

Wouldn't that apply to his opponents at 168 too? All of them would have been light heavyweights (or heavyweights) in earlier eras. By that reasoning, wouldn't dominating them be equivalent to being dominant in an earlier era of smaller light heavies?

Much the same as Ward, went an unbeaten career, took on the best comers that were available, albeit there just weren't enough of them compared to what was there for Ward. Can only beat who's out there.

I actually have it as a toss up between the two of them pretty much, but I definitely give Joe the nod. Don't think it's ridiculous for someone to argue its Ward though

    Ward is getting underrated slightly.

He won the super 8 tournament filled with some very good super middleweights

He dominated a very good light heavyweight champion at 168

He bumped up to 175 and twice beat the best light heavyweight of the past decade

He ducked no one and beat everyone
