Why though ?? There's plenty of choice at 160 for him and no standout names/money at 168. They were never going to get a credible opponent that would keep everyone happy for the 5th may. Once the 5th is out the way, lets see what's really on the table at 160 for him

 

a selfish part of me wants him to carry on and become great because he was an amazing fighter that should be ending an all time great career but his not middle was a waste land at his prime lol it's not now funny that

 

Hes a great h2h for me, throw him in with anyone ever and its a toss up for me prime. He scared the competition he had prime, partly because he brought no money but more importantly it was what he was capable of.

Less than that, IMO. I think 2-3 top levels fight and then he's done. Let's be real, he looked visibly slower against Canelo and the fact most of us thought he won clean is testament to how excellent he actually was (and Canelo proved to be a great boxer too, let's be fair). There's parallels to Rigo in some ways, I think. A lot of "if he'd have fought X at this age"
