It’s funny to hear claims that GGG has to fight or give up belt from DiBella.

DiBella didn’t give a chance to GGG when Martinez should have fought GGG and instead they fought Cotto in the end. DiBella was one of those responsible for GGG waiting looong time for good fights. Now DiBella demands a fight for Derevyanchenko. I hope DiBella’s fighter never receives a chance for a title fight with GGG, that will be fair.

A nearly 40 , one legged Martinez who was so far gone he couldn't even spar during camp had no obligation to offer Golovkin a fight who at the time held no mandatory clause and brought no money to the table.

In his last fight , Sergio was trounced by Cotto who was past prime himself. Is not getting a fight with an old man riddled with injures on the way out of the sport something to gloat about for Golovkin??

How on earth is that the same as Dchenko who is mandatory to GGG who just turned 36. At 36 Martinez was coming off his trashing of Ring and Lineal champ Kelly Pavlik while GGG was an unkown fighting club boxers in Kazakhstan. Dchenko has fought all his fights in the US and is pretty well known , not to mention he holds an IBF mandatory clause which GGG hasn't faced in two years.

Even his trainer Abel Sanchez said Martinez earned the right to retire with a cash out fight against Cotto.

Calling Martinez a ducker at that point in his life is downright shameful.

This is some crazy **** , you are bagging an older fighter for taking an easier fight so that he can cash out in GGG yet you defend Martinez for basically doing the same thing! That's ****ed up.

What do you mean and? Who is Derevyanchenko? He is not even close to GGG at 2012, but somehow he is mandatory.

What tf are you on about?? Dchenko is mandatory right now , in 2018.

nobody had any problem that GGG was fighting Canelo instead of him. The situation was totally fine.
When GGG is pushin 40 and is left with one leg , then he will get a pass for not fighting the up and coning young bull who has no mandatory clause and brings no money to the table.

You are a master level 99 at playing dumb.
First you claim that I called Martinez ducker but I didn't in my post.
Then Martinez in 2012 wasn't 40 year old fighter, he just defeated Chavez Jr.

The thing I am talking about is that DiBella would never give a chance to GGG for title even if he was mandatory. Again his words: "Who knows Gennady Golovkin other than you, me and a few other people? How many people would he bring to the table? How much money would he generate? ... He is a very good fighter, but it's a fight that economically makes no sense.". He is in almost same situation as was GGG in 2011,2012, 2013 with fighter who is unknown even more than GGG in 2011, 2012.

I don't care if Derevyanchenko is mandatory but I do hope DiBella's fighter would never get a chance to fight GGG. That would be fair.

The promoter didn't want it / the fighter didn't want it - - same thing. Its calling him a ducker.

Did Cotto duck the Charlo's when he had a frewell fight against Ali? Did Vitali Klitschko duck Bermane Stiverne when he gave up the belt and retired?

Explain when and why Lou should have given GGG a shot when he didn't have any ranking with the WBC and brought no money to the table and Martinez was looking for a cash-out fight before he retired?

I don't think anyone is saying it's rhe best thing for the sport. I think people are just saying they understand why.

I also understand why Canelo cheated. I don't like that either.
