    Wow....
No wonder I got crickets from Tom about figures.
HBO had to been trying to nix the date from the jump.

No wonder GGG was sick of contract extensions just to get big fights made

After Brook they should have entered into a co-promotional deal with Matchroom or something. Golovkin would sell out O2 if Matchroom prompted it, every time. He’d be so huge over here.

I'm a UK fanboy because Europe/UK generates more money in boxing than the US?

    It's just facts.

odds are three times as many people in the UK know who he is. boxing is a dead niche sport in the states.

it's even more niche in the UK.

Boxing being 'more supported' in the UK is a myth put out by the US media to cover up their current lack of big names in the sport.

It's a bit like US soccer. The budget for the MLS and national US soccer team is higher than many of the teams who qualified for the World Cup.

Well i had it coming that NOONE will agree to fight with less than month to go and for 100-200 k $ , but there were some people here still blaiming that Golovkin is ducking Andrade and stuff.

Andrade wants payday, even gatekeeper Spike wants to make some money, heard rumours that he turned down 750k and might fight Canelo instead and make more.Who the hell gives 750k to a journeyman let alone 1 mil ? This is not Mayweather type of cash cow. Also some rumours that Spike does 300k~ on undercards in the UK,anyone can find out how much this guy got against BJS and Eubank JR ?? Really curious. He cant be making more than 100-200k a fight.

The IBF mando Derevyachenko wants more money probably as well and time to prepare , there is no way he will be ready for May 5th for the fight of his life even if his promoter claims that he is ready , its lie for me.

Also BJS wants the fight but for not May or June or July but September ? And what if he injures again , done it in the last years over and over again, non sense.

Im not even Golovkin big fan,not that i dont like the guy but Tom Loeffler and Abel Sanches are damn annoying people, tho started liking Sanchez a bit more after seeing him improve so much Gassiev.

unlike soccer, boxing is not for pansies who want to think they are athletes. if you wanna go there though, Iceland puts the UK to shame, don't they?

Why can't a single American poster on here try and debate my points rather than continously get childish?

The largest revenue from a single sport in the world comes in the form of the Premier League....

And no....Iceland has no financial power in the footballing world.

I can name over 20 sports in the UK which are larger in the UK than boxing......

    Exception....not the rule.

In fact i'd even argue that it shows how poor the decline is in US boxing that an MMA fighter can debut and make so much money.

The only boxer who draws similar numbers is Canelo....and that's due to Mexican fans.

The so called 'P4P top 10' are earning peanuts fighting in the US compared to fighters in the UK.

The US PPV market will always trump anything else, but only really for the super fights like Mayweather, Pacquiao etc. Not sure anyone else has that sort of pull for TV audience now though that theyre pretty much done.

GGG would make more $$$ in the UK though. He aint a big draw in the US and could consistently make more here
