Vasyl v Linares a closer look..

Really looking forward to this, maybe more than any other bout. Good video, I think the guy had a point when he said Loma gradually cuts him up. I can really see that happening with all those constant short bursts from odd angles.

 

I have a soft spot for Linares and my heart truly supports him in this fight. I also can’t help but feel Jorge has an awesome skill set that can at least nullify some of the movement coming from Loma. Still you have to factor in his weak skin and battle worn body and if you’re a betting man Loma is the safer bet here.

 

I don't really have a dog in this fight, I like them both, a couple of classy skilled fighters.

I'll probably be rooting for the underdog Jorge, I can see him being right in the fight until it gets stopped on a technicality or goes to a close entertaining decision. With his strength and skills he'll push Loma all the way. I agree about his battle worn body, he's been a pro along long long time, he fought a friend of mine over 10 years ago.

 

I rate both fighters very very highly. Loma is unreal, my favourite fighter in boxing currently

Lomachenko could very well lose this fight. He doesn't have the power to "cut" Linares up.

 

You don’t need power to cut some one up. Repetitive dynamic strikes do that. Just a brush of an elbow is enough...

Although agree he could lose this...

 

I’m no fan boy for Loma but a three weight world champ in recorded time before his career is probably even mid way, sure looks good. What will his completed career look like when he retires? By every sign he’s given us so far it’s probably gonna look pretty good.

 

You need some power to go with it, too.

 

On the other side if Lomachenko gets a UD it will be "LINARES HAD ALWAYS BEEN A C LEVEL FIGHTER AND IS TRASH!!!"

Also wonder if Loma gets more credit for Linares "dragging" him up a weight class ala Loma to Rigo (two classes).
