I didn't realize (or had forgotten) that Danny Jacobs swerved the IBF 2nd-day weigh-in for the GGG fight and was suspected of being way over 170lbs.

Loeffler kind of (without saying it outright, just with his tone) spinning this as justification for Golovkin taking on Martirosyan despite the IBF not being happy about it, saying that in the past Golovkin has done everything to oblige them & their rules "to his own detriment", implying they kind of now "owe him one"...

 

Zurdo at catch-weight is possible for September (if the Canelo rematch ends up not materializing by then), it sounds like...

 

At the very end of the video the reporters circle back to reiterate this question and press Tom for a clearer answer.

He says by the middle of next week. So by approximately 4/25 we should either have GGG vs. the Nightmare (or somebody else) announced with 2½ weeks to promote it, or we can all just move on with our lives.
