Tyson Fury takes the same shot from Wlad that knocked Joshua down

Very good 6 seconds from Wlad. Throwing a punch and everything.

 

I remember that punch (Wlad threw so few) and was surprised Fury wasn't wobbled. But you're right he rolled with it really nicely. Shows not so much a great chin as the ability to move very quickly to avoid taking the full effect of the punch.

 

Fury returning and reclaiming his titles is a formality. The real question is, will Bono Vox return? Can the vocal chords get back to where they once were? How I long to hear that silky croon once more — but if it never happens, at least he left us with the greatest interpretations of Keep It Between The Lines and In The Ghetto ever committed to tape.

 

Joshua is getting schooled, that one is nailed on. I respect Wilder, he and his X factor represent the greatest threat to Fury, but I would still favor the big man strongly.

 

reading this thread fury is as near unbeatable a heavyweight as there has ever been.

yet i have watched all his career and while he surprised me v wlad / imo that fight wlad v fury was won in the mind more than anything that happened in boxing exchanges

i have yet to see fury as he is being portrayed here
he is very big and knows how to fight / but what is he like now

i have no idea

 

It hardly landed flush. Not close to the same shot. Blow up cruiser's buzzed Fury.

 

I'm a huge fan of Wlad but no. That shot didn't have even half the mustard applied that he could have. He sacrificed power for speed so that he could land. A fully loaded shot would have missed like Lemieux missed against Saunders.

Kubrat Pulev took a better right than Joshua (post knockdown aswell)

Joshuas feet were planted and his weight forward. He got smacked straight in the face. Tyson saw it coming and rolled with it took all the sting out of it.

Vlad was a different beast in the AJ fight, the best he'd fought in years. Against Tyson he was his usual plodding self.
