They need to make the fight, whatever the numbers come out to. 70/30,60/40. It shouldnt be 12.5 million when it's going to make way more then that. Who knows how much AJ is going to get paid but he's just throwing out 12.5 million to the Champ.

Regardless if he has the fans or not. Deontay Wilder is a world champion who's been around a lot more then AJ. Deontay Wilder has earned the right to be treated fairly and to be given a decent cut. What is 12.5 million if the whole fight makes 140 million.

That's crazy Team Aj only wants to give him 12.5 million. That's ridiculous. That's a low blow.

Its already been stated 1000s of times the fight does not make over 100 million be lucky if it makes 50 million.

Hoped. Its Hearn who's coming up with the money and his not in the business of losing money.

Banking on ppv buys for two relatively unknown fighters isn't smart

I'm saying his very smart and once his crunched the numbers his realised what he can pay and what he cannot.

Hearn appreciates AJ's profile needs to be larger in the US and Wilder isn't a star in the US so he isn't going to take unnecessary risks with his business.

If PPV was in the UK then yes they can make crazy money. If it was in the USA forget it, American fans won't pay to watch it the same was UK fans would.

If this is the case; then the PPV money, TV rights, venue and promotion falls to the UK in which case Joshua/Hearn/Matchroom/Sky Sports should take the lions share of the purse.

Wilder cannot offer anything apart from ONE single belt; he cannot guarantee anything - money, venue, PPV projections. Heck, he has 3 managers who cannot even get him above a $2.5m purse. He is getting fleeced and they are the ones licking their chops and prolonging the negotiations.

How much did AJ vs WK generate? Nobody knows because Hearn doesn't release that into to the public so its pointless arguing such a topic. How do we know it won't generate well over £50M.
The only way around that is to offer splits and %s

It's a weak opening offer but then you always start off with your worst offer and it's still 12.5 mill more than Wilder has offered for the Joshua fight.

Also if the fight does generate so much then give Joshua his $50 mill flat fee and Wilder can walk away with 50-100 mill and laugh all the way to the bank.

So while the 12.5 mill flat fee is too low it's still the best offer on the table right now until Wilder and his team actually make an offer.

AJ and Vlad got £15 mil each. That is a good indicator of how much revenue the fight generated.
