So if it's AJ's highest payday - but not 5 times higher - then him turning that down is fine?

I'm saying that is being consistent. Wilder got offered 5 times his largest payday.

AJ continues to pay fighters way above there usual purses yet his purses do not to much higher

Have his purses for Parker and Takam actually been released? Plus I'm sure Parker and Takam both got higher paydays than usual but look who their last few fights were against.

At the end of the day, AJ still gets his highest payday with 60\40. He gets the last belt in the division and can then get the Whyte rematch that they all want. Everyone on here gassing up AJ and saying WIlder doesn't deserve a 60\40 split or whatever are instrumental in holding up this fight. It's the most lucrative fight at HW - Hearn knows it but knows it carries risk so is trying to milk it as much as possible.

His other option is to walk away from this and risk getting jobbed on the cards against a roided up Povetkin in Russia

At the end of the day, Wilder still gets his highest payday with $12.5m. He gets a shot at the other three belts in the division and can then get paid far more for any fight in the future. Everyone on here gassing up Wilder and saying AJ doesn't deserve 70% or whatever are instrumental in holding up this fight. It's the most lucrative fight at HW - Haymon knows it but knows it carries risk so is trying to milk it as much as possible.

His other option is to walk away from this and risk getting jobbed on the cards in a mandatory against Dillian Whyte.

    Where is Wilder?

Wilder is 40-0, 39 KOs. He's the World Boxing Council Heavyweight Champion. He's preparing to make his eighth straight title defense.

And he's about four years away from breaking the 49-0 heavyweight record and Floyd's 50-0 mark.

And he'll still be the champion long after Joshua has lost.

Wilder's price is only going to go up as the days, months and years roll on.

He came up the hard way. He's starting to get the recognition he deserves. And he isn't going anywhere.

    That's where Wilder is.

Maybe, but... Can he continue fighting second rate opponents? Will the networks continue to pay for that or will they or the WBC force a mandatory against a young, hungry, skilled fighter who isn't in Haymon's back pocket?

He's 33 in the autumn. His speed and athleticism are his greatest assets. As they fade he won't have fundamental boxing technique to fall back on. If he bails on the Joshua fight every HW will know that taking his title will give them the route to a massive pay off versus Joshua. Will the up and coming Eastern Europeans come for him? Winning purse bids that force him to defend in Russia in front of a hostile crowd? Would he cope?

Lot of questions for Wilder to ponder.

If Joshua won't fight Wilder, Wilder will pick up the belts the same way Joshua did when the belts were taken away from Fury.

Joshua hasn't fought any mandatories in the two years since he fought the joke that is Charles Martin. He'll have three mandatories coming up. Hearn has already talked openly about Joshua dumping one belt if Povetkin won't adhere to their demands. And if he wants to fight Haye or Bellew or Fury, Hearn will have to pay step-asides to other mandos or dump those belts, too.

I think that's why Hearn is trumpeting the IBO belt Joshua has so much.

The IBO belt may be the only belt Joshua ends up with, after Hearn demands everyone bow to Joshua or they won't get to fight him.

And as long as Wilder's fights continue to be exciting, his popularity will continue to grow.

Why has his loud gobby videos gone? He was pumping about 5 a day out and then he would make some videos everyday spitting all over the lense. They are entertaining, love the black and white photos of the deep thought books he is reading even though he holds them upside down. But these videos have dried up. His whole squad have gone missing really.

I believe Wilder is asking Haymon why he will be getting 1.5-2 million to fight Breazeale and AJ will get 10x more fighting absolutely anybody.

I believe the word "milking" was raised and Haymon just said "get in position".

It's interesting that Wilder has had 3 years to pursue these belts with little progress being made but you think that he's suddenly going to go after them once Joshua discards them?

I suspect Povetkin will agree terms. Hearn's planting that seed to ensure the negotiations go the way he wants. Alexander wants the big payday that an AJ fight can give him. He may also serve as the mandatory for two of the belts. The winner of Whyte Pulev could the next, but there may be scope for a voluntary before then. My guess is that Hearn will find the sanctioning bodies co-operative.

    LOL wut?

Parker was a unification fight, Takam was a MANDATORY for IBF belt, Wlad was a unification (IBF- WBA). So his last 3 fight 2 were unifications and one was a mandatory..

I can see hanging off Wilders nuts distorts your view of the world but what you have said above is just complete bull**** and you know it...

Again AJ will either be fighting Wilder (unification) or Povetkin (WBA mandatory) next...

IF the Wilder fight goes ahead (which I doubt) i'd imagine the winner would have no choice to drop some belts because there will be conflicts going forward...

This is part of the brinkmanship. It's the same thing as a staredown. We are seeing who has the mental edge.

Wilder is talking **** and yet keeping his nuts in the drawer. He dusted them off once in his career for his last fight, but they are definitely back in the draw now.
