Sergiy "The Technician" Derevyanchenko Is A MIDDLEWEIGHT MONSTER...!!!

He is actually not that large. 5'9 as a middleweight is small these days. Against the huge middleweights like BJS and Jacobs he would struggle.

 

He's the same height as Lara, who looked small against Hurd.

 

Of course, GG will never fight him, watch and see he will keep fighting former 154 fighters...

 

Could be worse, he could be fighting Welters and lightweights like Hagler and Hopkins

 

Derevyanchenko is clearly a very good fighter. Tureano looked like he'd been mugged after their fight. I'm confident that Golovkin can beat him, but he'll require a full camp. Sergiy isn't the sort of guy you can just pitch up and beat.

 

Thing is, if BJS pops his head up he'll go for him. I don't think its possible now for GGG to unify without losing one of the belts. SD should be getting his shot or the belt, its not fair the Canelo fight holding stuff up

 

This. GGG would have already fought twice more if it wasn't for diva Clenelo wanting him not to fight while he cycled his magic steak juice. Derevyanchenko could conceivably already have had his shot. I have no doubt that Golovkin would rather unify with Saunders than defend vs Derevyanchenko. Assuming he does, there's the Canelo fight which might still happen, which is probably going to be passed off as some sort of unification (ring? lineal?) bull**** too. Conceivably Sergiy is going to only get his shot in 2019 which imo is unfair. Frankly I blame Runvarez for this.

 

I honestly don't care about the Canelo fight now, **** it, its lost to much steam now as well as the failed test. SD then BJS and retire and by the time GGG is ready for them fights he probably doesn't get by both. I'm convinced this stage GGG gets mugged by BJS for a UD. What a massive kick in the bollox the return not happening for GGG financially, he more than likely doesn't have the belts any more by the time Canelo's ready

 

Throw the majority of that training and mental prep out the window once the opponents been changed imo

 

No one is happy that Golovkin isn’t fighting Derevyachenko (at the very least), I’m hesitating to call it a duck though, given Golovkins record.
He will deserve the stick if his next opponent is a let down.
