According to some posters including @Mr Icaman & @OpinionOfACasual , Wilder's PPV value is equal to Joseph Parker, and there's no reasonable evidence to suggest it does more buys.

    So let's settle it.

The fight will do more UK PPV, Hearn has said as much.

Probably not massively more, there's a ceiling to the UK PPV market and AJ may be nearing it already.

Some of the additional buys will be because it's a fight for undisputed champion. Nothing to do with Wilder other than him having the final belt to collect.

tldr: Wilder sells a few more UK PPV but nowhere near enough to pay his unrealistic demands of 40%

    I didn't say Wilder's PPV = Parker's PPV.....

    I said Parker's PPV > Wilder's PPV.

Parker has been on PPV without Joshua....

Wilder hasn't been on PPV without Joshua.

    Higher.

His value is what the Brits rate him (or rather what Wilder represents) at as a Joshua opponent, as his actual standalone drawing power.

Stupid question. The sky machine will be in full throttle for a unification.

Does Joshua v Wilder do more PPV than Joshua v Parker?

    Very likely......

People want to see Joshua become the first Undisputed Heavyweight in Britian.

I think you will be shocked. It will do more than Klitschko especially with the build up/trash talk in the week leading up to the fight, and the Klitschko fight certainly done way more buys than the Parker & Takam fights, despite what @Mr Icaman seems to believe. It's easy to get a general feel for how well a PPV is gonna do by talking/listening to casual's, looking at social media etc. None of my casual mates bought the Parker or Takam fights, there was none of your cringy SportBible/Lad Bible posts getting tens of thousands of 'likes' like there was for the Klitschko fight. There wasn't many posts on Twitter before, during or after those two fights from the few hundred casual's I follow, unlike the Klitschko fight where nearly everyone including girls were talking about it. There was more hype for Haye Bellew 1.

Even if AJ-Wilder happened in the states, it would do more buys in the UK at 5am in the morning than Parker/Takam fight. Easy!

Pink Tyson has been on PPV more than Wilder. Your point is moot.

It would do more, but see my point above about the ceiling. Ultimately the UK market will only ever get to a certain point. Wilder could moon the Queen, push David Attenborough down a flight of stairs, make a little girl start crying on the final of Britains Got Talent and poison the football team right before the knockout stages of the World Cup final and there's still only so many people who will fork out to watch AJ send him into low earth orbit.

Sky will do a good job with the promos. Wilder will say his usual nonsense. People with very special needs will repeat Bomb Squad. There will be hype.

Some of the buys will come from the 'AJ's journey is nearly complete, now, see the final chapter as UNDISPUTED' etc is heralded. How will you distinguish those from Wilder? Because he's done feck all to make this the fight for undisputed other than sit in Alabma fighting the HW equivalent of a rice pudding for the last three years.

If this is about percentage vs flat fee I'd give Wilder a percentage btw. Just nowhere near the numbers he's talked about which are fantasy island stuff.

By pink tyson are you referring to Fury?

If so, i struggle to see where this fits in.

But you seem to be finally grasping the concept that Wilder has 0 PPV's to his name.

Whereas Klitschko made PPV without Joshua.

Well Adam Smith & Eddie seem to think it does more buys than Klitschko. Are they wrong too?

I think the poll results speak volume. I've wasted people's time by even asking the question. Other than Fury, no future Joshua opponents could get near 750k buys, nevermind 1.5mil especially after the Parker fight which left a bad taste in the mouth of the casual's that did buy it.

He certainly deserves more than Parker's roughly 32.5% split. 60/40 is fair. End of story.

No, Pink Tyson is some horrible female boxer who recently headlined a Hennessy sport PPV. I guess she must have more value than Wilder.

There's a difference between Joshua v Wilder doing more buys than Joshua v Klitschko.......

And Wilder bringing more than Klitschko.

There are 3 financial elements to this fight:

    Joshua > Undisputed > Wilder

The 'Undisputed' part, especially on British soil, is where the value is added.

If Ortiz had beat Wilder, would he of been deserving of 40%?
