Now we know why Eddie is offering Wilder a flat fee..........they have no intention of fighting him anytime soon. They've done the risks assessment and they've realized that alternative routs are in the financial best interest of Joshua. Uk fans have some self respect and call the situation what it is........A MASSIVE DUCK!

“It’s a massive high risk fight and it’s the biggest fight in British boxing,” Hearn told Fight Hype.

“Yes, Joshua wants greatness, but it is also a business. I wouldn’t expect you to take a job that was much harder and much more risk for a similar kind of money.

“You would just keep working on the easy stuff.
“This is a massive job - the biggest job out there - but what’s the money? It’s just a little bit more than you’re on at the moment.

“He [Wilder] is not worth 60/40 - nowhere near. I’m sorry but that’s the reality.

“Maybe Josh will pay over time, but I don’t think he should.

“This is the biggest fight of his career and maybe the biggest fight of his career for ever.”
    There you have it people.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

Why should Wilder get a huge larger than usual payday while AJ does not?

Hearn/Joshua ducks the fight by actually starting negotiations and offering Wilder a massive record payday and flying the US to hunt down Wilder and his people to see if they are serious.

Wilder's team chases the fight by not attending the Joshua/Parker fight, not making any offers, not sending a counter offer as they promised to, signing a fight with Breazeale and disappearing off the face of the earth.

Wilder fan logic right there people, lmao.

At least Eddie is transparent. One person can't earn 15x their highest purse if the other one didn't even double theirs

Chris Byrd told Ellis Seckback he'd have more of a chance beating Mike Tyson than Deontay Wilder.

Wilders might be a figure of ridicule on message boards , but insiders , promoters and fellow fighters realize how dangerous he is.
You don't want to be taking on this guy if you have everything to lose and nothing to gain like Joshua.

Exactly. AJ isn't running a charity.

Seems to me because AJ earns large purses Wilder fans seem to think he should make sure everyone else gets paid before himself

It has always been bad for the business when a no-name beer truck driver from Alabama whips up some of those sweet, sweet windmills and flings your cash cow into oblivion.

Can't fault Eddie's logic to be honest.

If Wilder's muppet management had come back with anything then there could still be a fight this year. But they haven't so their won't be. Wilder's tomato can/pensioner carousel will continue.

You mean of course the counter offer that Wilder's side were preparing?

    The one that didn't arrive.

    That one?

Hearn only flew out to continue negotiations yesterday ... Finkel's counter is 5 days overdue.

At least hold both sides accountable to your standards of criticism. Slating Hearn for not making a second offer despite the fact that Wilder hasn't even made one is a bit rich, don't you think?

Hearn gave them 10 days to respond so they have until Friday I believe to respond to his offer. As for Hearn making another offer what's the point if they won't even respond to him. He could send them a dozen offers today, it would be pointless knowing they will just ignore them. Hearn won't waste his time trying to chase a fight against an opponent who when push came to shove has done nothing to try and make the fight but talk.

How do you even know it's being drawn up? The counter offer was meant to be sent to Hearn last Saturday 4 days ago and that's Finkel's timescale not Hearn's.

Hearn doesn't really deserve the benefit of he doubt. Its my belief he doesn't want the fight right now and nothing will convince me otherwise unless its signed sealed and delivered.
