    But he did win, every fight between the Taylor fight ( which was before the injury) and the Whitaker fight, and he gave Whitaker arguably his hardest fight. He beat everyone else.

    I agree McGirt could box and have some success. He was smart. Buddy was too small for Trindad though and eventually he would get hurt. The Oba Carr that faced Trinidad probably gives
    Buddy all he can handle. He was undefeated and in his prime then still Trinidad wrecked him.

    Straying off topic. Same injury, possibly differing degrees of severity ,either way not really relevant to the discussion imo.Result pedantry.

    I think the rotator cuff injury talk is significant when it comes to McGirt. He always had it there as an excuse when he did not perform well.

    Before the injury I believe he was a left hooker and that changed afterwards ,you have your opinion ,others have theirs ,it's all good.

    Well the question was is he great. With the injury, I don't think he could be great.. The injury prevented that.

    No the issue is Whitaker v McGirt.
