If he's tied-up with Netflix or Amazon, that's a very smart move...

I think it’s ESPN+, the new subscription ESPN standalone service. They’re already streaming the entire Khan card this weekend. Amazon or Netflix would be nuts but I don’t think it’s that

Not that it’s a bad thing, it’s actually quite awesome. $4.99 a month to not have to worry about finding dodgy streams online is totally worth it to me

I agree 100%. I wish they would lower the PPVs to $39.99 for big name fights and $19.99 for all others. The PPV model CAN work post Pacquiao-Mayweather.

The biggest players in the near future are Amazon Prime Video, Alibaba's T-Mall Box Office and Facebook Watch. . . . HBO and Showime can't compete with those pockets and model.

Hearn once again showing he's ahead of the curve. It was only a matter of time before one of the big streaming services started to encroach on the territory of the big cable subscription services. As big as HBO/Showtime/Sky are they are dwarfed by companies like Amazon and Netflix.

Wouldn't shock me if we saw them bid for more sporting rights, they have much deeper pockets and will likely push out the aging dinosaur media platforms like HBO, Showtime and Sky.

Would be a major coup for both the streaming service and Hearn to form the first solid deal which I'm sure will be very profitable for both. It gives the service exclusive rights to Hearn cards and Hearn will be able to guarantee an overseas revenue stream. Who needs US PPV if you have Netflix which according to 2017 figures has more subscribers in the US than HBO and Amazon prime has far more than both of them.

Yeah I assume this is only for overseas territories, the UK market is already primed and very lucrative for Hearn and his boxers. But overseas is where he can really grow his business and generate more interest in boxing. Such a deal will give him access to a platform where he can broadcast his fights all over the world in an easily accessed way. He'll only need to deal with the one company to air all his fights all over the world where currently TV networks are often limited to just the one domestic market.

A lot of people stream fights now, as it isn't always available in their domestic market and so this opens up the sport in a way that is very exciting. Both Netflix and Amazon have subscribers in about 200 countries, this deal makes a lot of sense and is a better way to grow boxing that Haymon's PBC model.

    How do Netflix dwarf sky?

Sky are a bigger company than Netflix.

Agree with amazon though, can’t compete.

Little bit harsh calling Lo Greco a "scrub".
