Personally, Brook vs Khan is still a fight I'd love to see. It might not be as meaningful on the worldwide scene, as it would've been 3-4 years ago, but it's still a brilliant match up and a massive fight for the UK between two of it's biggest names in the sport and with a genuine rivalry.

In most cases I'm against letting fights 'marinate' but ideally, I'd like them both to have at least one more fight before fighting each other. Not to build more hype, but just to get some more momentum and confidence behind them. It will make Brook vs. Khan a better fight in the long run IMO.

So, my question is, who would you match them with next, with a view to them fighting each other after that? Say at a 150lbs catchweight for talking's sake. So think like a promoter rather than a fan. Somebody relatively risk free but not a total dumpling, affordable but still with a bit of name value etc.?

Few suggestions to start. What about Khan vs. Van Heerden or Avensyan?
    Brook vs. Soro or Kamegai?

Two has beens who were never elite fighters and will never fight another elite fighter yet the PPV mugs will get another rogering from Eh Day.

Why do they need another fight - just get the PPV rogering over and done with.

Lol they've had their soft warm up fights , why give them another!
Khan doesn't wanna face Brook ever, that's is really evident.

I think Khan needs another fight. He didn't even take a punch last night. Brook would be more ready to go straight into it, fair enough. But another fight in the meantime would do no harm at all if you're trying to make Brook vs. Khan as good a fight as possible.

well it would have to be someone decent in the top 20. Lo greco wasn't even in the top 100, and had lost to a guy called Joseph Elegele.

Yes, and the main point of the thread was to ask who that someone could be?

Khan vs Garcia next in England. Think Khan would win.

    Brook vs Lara

It's should have been skeete pregnant in there with Khan Saturday
    This proved absolutely nothing
Khan he make 147 comfortably ?
Is there any punch resistance there at all
    Stamina
    Defence tightened
    And the dillian white celebrations
Like Khan just stopped a wrecking machine

I'd actually wonder if Kahn should try and get out VS someone in the next few months, someone to give him rounds. Even Frankie Gavin or something just to get him under the lights and someone that might give him something to think about. How has Lo Greco been 10 with Porter? Speed kills I guess.

Brook go for a faded vet for a make time fight - Mike Alvarado, Ortiz, Devon Alexander maybe

Khan should probably aim for the winner of Pac V Mattysse - Khan has done 0 to warrant a shot but it would sell especially if Pac wins and then Brook V Khan for a world title
