Peter Jackson would be an interesting choice to illuminate, I'd say.

Julio Cesar Chavez - a character who could do with illuminating.

Or Ray Leonard - very much a mysterious, driven character. Though you'd have to work very hard to stop it slipping into the usual, cliched bull**** ie irrelevant focus on his skin colour.

    Joe Louis

With the proper budget you could make one amazing movie on his life.

Teaser Trailer 1- A mother whose head is out of frame gives small change to a young African American boy- audience hear her dialogue off screen- good luck with your violin lessons today. The young boy snatches the coins from her hand and grabs his violin case from a nearby chair and runs out the front door. We the audience follow the boy as he runs down a dirt road into town we see a sign that says violin lessons here in a shop window- the boy runs right past it- into a dank broken down place-we see him set the case down on a chair and he slowly opens the violin case to reveal worn boxing gloves- fade out- some superheroes are real.

    Battling Siki.

The classic rags to riches to rags war hero prohibition whodunnit story, with a bit of random lion cub action thrown in.
