Charlo only looked good because centeno had a glass jaw.. sulecki a junior middleweight tko him in the 10th sulecki has 38 %KO Ratio
Of course he was. This is the same Centeno Jr. that was struggling with JRock, who also isn't that good and was also easily destroyed by Charlo. I just see it as stay busy fight for Charlo.
Exactly!! People were actually complaining about the Sulęcki fight when it got signed, asking "who did this guy ever beat?" and "why is Jacobs fighting nobodies?" - but then Charlo beats Centeno and suddenly he's the destined conqueror of GGG.
Sulęcki is a very good boxer, but it's a mismatch because he's much smaller than Jacobs. If they were the same size, it would be a good matchup.
Aleem shouldn't make you go from somebody that Sulęcki gets zero credit for beating (with Jacobs in turn getting **** on for taking on Sulęcki) to somebody that Charlo is able to soak up all these accolades for beating. Centeno is the same guy now he was then. Aleem doesn't matter. WTF did Aleem ever do? Be the one to finally expose Khytrov, which absolutely everybody and their grandma saw coming the moment he stepped up even a smidgen?
I think Sulecki is the better opponent between Centeno as he BEAT Centeno I’m not addressing the zero credit for Jacobs fighting Sulecki I’m addressing the claims that Centeno wasn’t ish
Centeno's okay. I've been a fan of his since ~2010, actually. He's the same guy that was extremely lucky to not get his cherry popped against J-Rock, though. Ever since that night I've grown very skeptical of his placement in the world level constellation. He isn't even close to elite. The credit should be consistent. If we're only doling out a tiny bit to Sulęcki for being the first to stop him (officially; in reality it should've been J-Rock) then we can't dole out more to Charlo. If anything it should be less, because he was softened up for Charlo by Sulęcki. All of a sudden a victory over Aleem shouldn't boost your value; Aleem himself is worthless. Somebody popping Khytrov's cherry was inevitable the second he faced anybody even C+ with a pulse.
Sulecki isn't that small, he is 6ft1 and should probably never have fought at 154. He only had a few fights at 154, he has fought @ 168 before too. Jacobs size is overrated just to make GGG fanatics feel better about themselves. Jacobs beat GGG clearly, but he is still a lanky average sized middleweight. Jermall Charlo is bigger than Jacobs and he came from 154. If Sergio Mora can drop Jacobs hard, then Sulecki will give him a hell of a fight
Calm down, relax, take a deep breath. Charlo just keeps showing us that he is head and shoulders above the B level opponents. He has shown us he has great speed, very good power, and skills. Charlo is also Gee Gee Gee's mandatory, but we all heard Abel Sanchez say he won't let his fighter near Golovkin. Charlo is clearly a much better fighter than Martirosyan, Wade, Monroe, and possibly Jacobs. I find the Charlo-GGG fight extremely intersting, not sure why the GGG fanatics or Sanchez don't want it.
Guys can't have it both ways. On one hand people say Charlo hasn't done anything to warrant a fight with G. Now people complaining about who he fights, in only his second fight at 160.
I wouldn't hate Charlo vs. Golovkin, but Jacobs II would be a superior test for Golovkin. Nothing we have seen from Charlo suggests, IMO, that he can produce a performance as competitive as Jacobs did the first time - and Golovkin has since then continued to slide, meaning a rematch is VERY interesting. (whereas GGG vs. Charlo is only moderately so)
Many people felt Jacobs beat Golovkin already. Im sure Golovkin will never give Jacobs the rematch. If he doesn't, says a lot about how team GGG saw the fight. Charlo has shown to be a clear level above the b level opponents. He is very likely an A level fighter and seems to poses the physical gifts and skills to compete with any top fighter at MW, including GGG. Im also inclined to say that Charlo seems more gifted and fresher than Jacobs. GGGs resume is full of Martirosyan type fighters, hopefully he decides to cement his legacy by fighting only the best after his pathetic fight against Martirosyan.
