I was impressed with Khan's honesty about choosing to fight Canelo because of his 'desperation' for a mega fight....after never being able to tie down Mayweather/Pacman. It was clear he didn't really believe he had a chance, unless he could somehow win the fight on speed alone. I don't buy the 'i'm a 147 fighter' though, when you're willing to fight at Middleweight in order to get your dream of a 'Megafight'. I also don't understand his comments regarding wanting to face the likes of Garcia/Thurman....When his very own 'Megafight' lies in the UK against Brook. Khan v Brook sells out Wembley. Khan's British Asian fanbase is huge, and Brook supporters would sell their fair share as well. If at Wembley, and he wins, he could force Garcia/Thurman/Spence over to the UK....as he'd be able to assure them a payday at least twice as much as their current highest. If Brook v GGG does £5 million each.... Brook v Khan does a minimum of £10 million each.
Not much advantage for Khan to fight Brook unless he gets a 70/30 split or something daft. Dangerous fight against a domestic rival
Selling out Wembley and losing is more advantageous to a fighter, than never fighting at Wembley. See George Groves compared to James Degale.
It's all about that 0 Glass Eye Vs Glass Jaw Khan's scared of Kell and doesn't need the money. I agree he should take it though. He has no 0 to go. His ego's preventing him from a massive payday
Khan has been carefully managed and protected/manufactured his entire career to avoid the big punchers and best fighters. With the exception of the Alvarez cash out for the money. He only fought Maidana because he was his mandatory and he put that off for 2 years and they were wanting to pull out of that. He's never had any interest in facing Brook because he knows he'll lose and he doesn't wanna be embarrassed in his own country to a fellow Brit. Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson were huge cherry pricks gone wrong, Khan was a huge favourite in both those fights, nobody thought they were any good at the time. Everybody else he's faced were all feather fisted bums or past it.
Scared of Brook? Is that why he told him to his face that he would beat him as well as signing up to Brook's promotor? What more does the guy have to do? I get you guys think Brook is a warrior and Khan has a glass jaw but this fight only gets bigger as time goes on unless Brook is really scared of getting his face smashed in (again) at 154lb and loses any leverage in negotiations
OK Team Khan lol How much longer can they wait! ever since Brook signed with Hearn in 2011 and fough N'dou, Brook and Hearn have been calling for this fight. Khan has been beat and struggled that many times, as soon as he fighsts someone in the top 20 there's a strong chance he's like Bambi on ice yet again and then the Brook fight is worth half the money or is dead completely. They have to fight next.
Garcia went undefeated for another 5 years after Khan so he showed his class Peterson is a drugs cheat and that loss should have been overturned.
Up until the GGG fight Khan was always a bigger name than Brook and never needed Brook until a last big pay day. The last fight with Matchroom could be against Brook but Brook needs to stay off the pies and focus on 154lbs.
Nobody likes hearing the truth And this post is full of it No one believes me when I say Khan was dragged kicking and screaming to the maidana fight Tried paying him step a side money for a third time irrc chino telling oscar get that fool in the ring asap I have even had to route the legal letter chinos team sent to make him comply Oscar told him fight or be stripped Laughed at no no dan then fight no geko who as never held a higher ranking than dan Khan should be laughing at him self in this case What about him telling the World im with haymon matchroom out fit is a joke The pearls of wisdom this khunt says should be made into one of them funny dictionaries the translation of Khan what is said and meant two completely different things
Not sure why there is a question mark in the title of this thread! Khan can handle getting knocked out by Spence or Thurman for a payday, he can't handle getting knocked out by Brook, it would destroy his soul.
Brook was world champion and was a big name in the UK, it would have been one Khans biggest pay days and a chance for Khan to become a 2 weight world champion In the british forum there's a thread saying the long list of excuses Khan has made in ducking Brook. I don't know how any Khan fan can defend him and deny he's swerving him, it's the biggest duck I've ever seen and it's gone on for the longest time.
He would fight Brook but only knowing that Brook has starved himself and will be totally drained at 147. That's the only way Khan takes the fight.
