And what did GGG do then? Not much , cos he was too worried about eating another one of those counters. He had Canelo up on the ropes multiple times and did nothing to him. Backed away quickly every time Canelo was about to throw a punch. He didn't dig deep enough to win which is why he was awarded a draw.

Canelo led GGG around the ring at will IMO
Canelo went to the ropes when he wanted to and had GGG following him at will

What makes this fight interesting is Charlo has real power. What we don't know is how he holds up if he expends a lot of energy and then gets caught himself. Can he take as well as he gives, especially in the later rounds?

I think Charlo beats just about anyone. If he doesn't it will be a war. I would love to see Charlo matched against Jacobs or BJS. Preferably BJS first, then Jacobs, because I think Jacobs is more talented.

I thought Jacobs could have got the decision against GGG, so if Jacobs can beat him, Charlo can beat him. Doesn't mean he would beat him, but he's a real threat. That said, Charlo who I really like, hasn't faced anybody like GGG. I don't know how he would hold up.

You guys need to give up on that narrative that Jacobs beat GGG. Jacobs was knocked down by GGG. GGG was the champ and they were fighting in Jacobs' backyard. Come on. Let's get real here. GGG won this fight. What, you want to give Jacobs the decision even though he wasn't the champ and got KD'd?

Man I feel like the Charlos skills right now s the #1 question in boxing besides if Canelo really cheated or not.

Im not sold on either Charlos right now. I think they have a high level of skill, but not solid on how high. Both of them are literally text book example of how a promoter makes every difference in this sport. This kid won the belt by fight K9 of all people. Or we forgot?

Put them in there with someone of caliber then we'll talk.

You could be right but I think they are the real deal. I haven't seen any chinks in their armor. Jermall is a rising star. He may take over the division as GGG heads into retirement. What I really like is the fact that Jermall and Canelo are the same age. They try to make Canelo out to be this monster, who will fight anyone. Well, let's see how he fares against Charlo when they meet. Charlo has more natural talent and is a true warrior. Canelo, by comparison, has fought well and is definitely talented but I don't see him beating Charlo, especially after a couple of battles with GGG. It will be fun to see what unfolds. That's what makes boxing interesting. You never really know.

He's certainly a threat. But I don't think he's seen enough different looks and styles at the top level to defeat 3G, and 3G's seen it all.

Exactly. So with the KD, what do these guys have Jacobs winning 8 rounds or something? Please....

Reppin was a die hard Mayweather fanboy. And as you can see from many of todays 3G haters, that seems to fit the narrative.

Yeah, you may be right but it would be war. Charlo is kind of an unknown. He may turn out to be The Destroyer of Dreams.

I didn't offer a narrative...I gave my opinion, Jacobs could have been awarded that decision. Being "the champ" is irrelevant as it pertains to scoring, location of the fight is irrelevant as it pertains to scoring, and the knockdown is factored into scoring so not sure why you felt the need to mention that.

What about my post was "hating" on GGG? I thought Jacobs could have been awarded the decision, hence I would view Charlo as a threat. I then stated Charlo has never seen anybody like GGG and that I don't think he would hold up, how is that hating?
