How serious of a threat is Jermall Charlo for GGG?

Pretty amazing when you look at how Charlo has filled out going from 154 to 160. He looks so much bigger and powerful. He is 6' compared to Canelo at 5'9" and 73 1/2 compared to 70 1/2 in reach.

Yeah could be. That said, Jacobs said he wants Jermallo after Sulecki, should he beat the Pole and can't get GGG. Derevyanchenko will fight anyone. BJS 2.0 has his eyes firmly on GGG, after the Murray fight that is. And Jermallo said he would fight BJS 2.0. Jermallo could fight Jacobs, Derevyanchenko, BJS 2.0 or Murata. I haven't seen anything from him yet to suggest he beats any of them. He might but those are all really tough fights for him.

I would make Charlo the slight favorite in every one of those fights.

Trout ouboxed Charlo, when J-Rock wasn't getting dropped he was outboxing Charlo, and guess what, GGG can outbox Charlo, let's face facts here, JERMALL CHARLO IS A KO ARTIST, NOTHING MORE. And all of his fanboys that incessantly blow smoke up his ass are guilty of the same pugilistic crime they accuse Beterbiev, Kovalev and Golovkin fanboys of. They get wet when they see a brutal KO, and it makes them momentarily lose their ****.

Skills still pay the bills, and Golovkin is the more skilled of the two, by leaps and bounds, and probably as defensively sound as Austin Trout, and that's coming forward, not retreating and without the awkward southpaw stance to rely on. Charlo has yet to show he has an exemplary backfoot game, and he'll need it here. The match if it happens will be as one sided as the Wade fight.

    Meh.
What I’m saying is true. Typically, a long reigning, dominant champion doesn’t have a great resume; Hopkins, Joe Louis, Wlad K, RJJ, Calzaghe etc. These guys standout (and this includes Gennady) for their consistency and longevity.
Generally when a dominant champ is finally beaten there’s a vacuum effect. The division becomes chaotic without the former champ keeping everybody in their place. Contenders vie for the top spot for awhile until a new champ comes along. For example, once Hopkins was gone JT failed to live up to his promise. It was JT, Pavlik and Martinez, but none of them were like Bernard. At this time, GGG begat to appear on the radar as a minor blip. Pirog ethered Jacobs but quickly disappeared. GGG was steadily increasing his status as a high risk/low reward guy when Cotto was able to poach the lineal title from Sergio but nobody considered Cotto the “real” MW champ. By the time Clenelo fought Cotto everybody knew that the real man to beat was Golovkin. Clenelo basically did to Cotto what Cotto did to Sergio. Clenelo then stalls and preens until he’s finally forced to fight GGG and by then GGG is just a bit past his prime and the fight was something of a let down.
GGG is one of the most avoided fighters since Charley Burley.
Remove Golovkin from the picture and middleweight looks pretty competitive: Jacobs, Clenelo, BJS, Sergei D, Charlo etc. but none of these guys will fight one another...why? Now that GGG is in his late 30s and looking mortal these guys are calling him out on Twitter. Meh.

Jermallo ain't getting past Murata, let alone Triple GGG. Murata would walk him down and get him out of there before the 10th. Tell Jermallo to get his ass over to Tokyo and mark my words he'll get it chopped up like sushi and sent back home to Houston in bits and pieces. Murata is heavily connected with the Nakamatsu clan and he's as strong and tough as an ox. He'll walk through everything Jermallo throws back at him and Jermallo will feel like he's swimming against the tide as early as round 3, by round 6 or 7 he'll feel like he's swimming against a tsunami, and then come round 8 or 9 Murata will drag him beneath the waves and drown him.

Yes absolutely I was gonna mention him but left him out but yeah he was literally the first guy to actually win a round of Golovkin which is one thing that gets forgotten by the Isal,Naysayer,James 2000 clan cause regardless of opposition nobody has the right to just win every round lol......so dominant.
How does there Canelita stack up with rounds won and lost and I mean truly won not something that Adelaide Byrd made up on the back of her cigarette box lol?

I have a gut feeling if it came to charlo and Murata, charlo would pull the 'Who's he?" crap, and not even bother with negotiations. Or expect a Haymon payday just to fight another contender.

Totally agree I mean Charlo does look good but that guys opposition is exactly the type Isal and co would have a field day on lol wouldn’t they?
I mean I’m just trying to be logical here that if they can keep finding fault with Golovkin opposition regardless that he’s fought more top ten opponents than just about any other Middleweight then where exactly does that put Charlos opposition at?

It is what it is as Charlo would say lol

Yes and that’s just one of boxings true isms as the better the opposition the harder it is to look great and knock em out the same which for anyone paying attention is something Golovkin kept on saying after Jacobs fight ect that he’s actually a boxer, not some brawler as some would have him, world apart how he fought Brook in his own words a street fight and how he fought Jacobs and Canelo, maybe a little cagey but still outboxed, outjabbed his opponents quite handsomely.
