These HW's today are just so incredibly massive/huge. Just freaks really.

If boxing ever fully regains popularity in America, I could see a dominant, athletic 7-foot HW emerging.

Imagine a 7-foot version of Joshua? I've actually seen a handful of specimens like that (Alonzo Mourning, Hassan Whiteside, Nene Hilario to name a few) playing in the NBA over the years. These aren't lumbering giraffes either, these guys have thick upper bodies and aren't running around on pencils like Wilder.

Daniel Dubois says his younger brother will be much taller than him, and he is 6'5'' himself. Dubois younger brother is 12 or 13 years old amateur now, so who knows, maybe in 7-8 years we will have 6'9'' super-muscular monster with great amateur experience turning out pro?

Yeah. Admittedly we only see nba/nfl rejects from the US. I assume it might be similar with European futbol, but I doubt it’s as severe.

The most incredible athletes don’t go into boxing.

    At least not anymore.

And they're gone, so you don't have to worry about them anymore.

Most incredible athletes can't fight. That's why they do other things. And most great fighters aren't very good at other sports.

I really struggle to believe that being an incredible athlete doesn't benefit you greatly in boxing.

Basketball players... Although a ton are like Wilder, there's some beasts. LeBron is the biggest athletic freak I've seen. Cool guy too . He's up there with my favorite athletes ever.

Who were all the boxers who were also great athletes in other sports? I could name several, and none of them were known for their great athleticism in boxing.

Also, have you ever seen a fight in the NBA? A bunch of guys who have never been punched in the face, because they've always been the tallest kid in class, closing their eyes and throwing slapping arm punches?

Bull. They'd much rather not get their brains scrambled. Even football is nothing compared to literally getting punched in the face for a living.

Think how massive Fury would be if we put on just an average amount of heavyweight muscle

He obviously has no power to hurt anyone but if he put on some size and worked on his KO power he might really be a beast

Imagine that 6 foot eight or nine frame with Wlad/Joshua muscular development

It's just what you're used to. I work with athletes and I'm seen as short and tiny (I'm 6 foot tall and 195 pounds) because I'm constantly around kids that are 6'5 on average. Those guys just have good genetics and lift weights. The average person just thinks steroids but there are people naturally like that, it's not exactly shocking to think in the whole wide world that there are guys like Joshua and Wlad showing up at the top.

Fury is clearly not genetically gifted in that way like Joshua or Wlad. You can't take the average fat man and turn him into Joshua without some serious hard work and steroids, and even then you still wouldn't get close. A guy like Joshua is muscular before he even touches a weight.

I agree, Fury is not the body type to ever get “really cut”, but he could certainly put a lot more muscle and be much leaner than he is (was) with proper training and nutrition

Just about Anyone, with Diet and training, can put on a lot of muscle. Granted, I’m not saying his body could reach Frank Bruno or Joshua lean, developed physiques, but Fury could be big enough to benefit his KO effectiveness.....he could, given dedication and discipline reach, say, Wlad level of muscularity. Not overly massive, but lean and powerful as a jackhammer

Fury apparently put ZERO effort into developing his training for power.

I realize punching power comes from more than just physical strength but his apparent “”Leverage”””, given his size, AND if that were combined with physical punching strength.....that could make him a monster at 6 ft 8-9

But the guy is a mentally lacking clown who has more of an affection for cocainne than building on his performance level

I agree that he could definitely be more professional to develop those attributes, but he would have limited results. The problem of not being a genetically fast twitch guy who puts on muscles is that the problem is magnified the bigger you are.
Because of his lever length he will always have trouble overloading with weights, and the amount of food a guy his size has to eat.. If he was more muscular he would find it easier to lose weight when he’s not training, if nothing else. Fury just isn’t a power athlete, he’s a big guy who moves reasonably well. I’ve seen him lifting weights so I don’t think he’s the sort of guy who can transform. I do know people who struggle to look muscular no matter how often they lift, some people really just aren’t built for that.
