I just want to thank God and Al Haymon for making AJ and Hearn look like utter bell ends. They claimed the fight is a $60mn fight. Now they've been offered 50-50 with a $50mn GUARANTEE Hearn's crapping his pants. Who is he to ask for proof of funds from promoters that have been in the game far longer than him and made infinitely more money than his entire family have ever made in boxing. I don't like Al Haymon but he's the money man in boxing. That's just a fact. People have been moaning for years that he overpays his fighters, now they're acting like he's broke lol. Someone please ask Hearn exactly what "Proof of funds" he sent with his lame AF $12.5mn offer? Anyone who claims that AJ doesn't come out of this fight with at least $50mn after signing with an Al Haymon fighter is a liar. Al has far more backing than Hearn/Sky and way more personal wealth. AJ is screwed now. He just backed himself into fighting in the US on Wilder's terms instead of his own back yard with a paid off British ref. This is what happens when some idiot chav ex drug dealer starts trying to call shots. Also, Hearn thought he'd be clever and try and use Whyte and WBC mandatories to force Wilder into following his school boy plan. What happened? Hearn discovered Al has a much bigger dick than him. Hearn's boy has been told he has to fight an un-winnable fight against Ortiz to even be named as number two behind another Haymon fighter who's done nothing at all to be number 1 lol. Long story short, Hearn is about half as smart and a quarter as powerful as he thought he was. This is the first time in a long time boxing being bent AF has brought a smile to my face.
The Tale of the Tape so far Hearn: "This fight will generate 100+ million dollars. I live and die by these figures. It makes sense to fight in the states. Wilder should sign with me, I'll triple his earnings" Wilder: "I won't sign with Hearn" Hearn: "This fight is not worth 100mil anymore, we've built something great here in the uk, it has to happen here" DeontayWilder: "Whatever, I'll take anything, just give me the same percentage in the rematch and I'll fight" AJ&Hearn: Doesn't send contract, or set date/location/judges ect. but says "we'll offer Wilder flat fee 12 mill 48 hours to respond'' Wilder: "I don't want a flat fee, especially if it is so low and doesn't even specify any details. Why can't you just make it a percentage split like y'all did with Parker?" AJ&Hearn: "Because Parker was less of a threat. If Wilder doesn't accept 12 mil, the biggest payday of his career, he's ducking and just we'll move on to Miller/Povetkin'!! If he offers us 50 mil, then we'll fight!!" Wilder: offers 50 mil AJ&Hearn: Quack Quack
hahaha... so true. Crazy amounts of matchroom fanboys on here watching too much Skysports News. Hearn is just a boy playing at a grown man's game.
Al Haymon the money man? Eddie Hearn has Sky behind him. Do you know how much money sky have? It's certainly a hell of a lot more than 50 million dollars that's for sure. They could cough up 500 million dollars and it'd be some spare money they had lying around in their back pockets. Al Haymon can't compete with Sky. Even HBO and Showtime can't match the colossus that is sky. Eddie is offering what is realistic and fair. Al Haymon is offering a ridiculous offer he doesn't need to do. It's about making as much profit as possible for these guys, not showing off.
Take the money Eddie/AJ. Its not your capital at risk anymore. Wilder's purse will then come from PPV revenue etc and lets see how well Haymon can promote this.
lol sky are much bigger than haymon, and lou Dibellend wont be able to promote this fight to a tenth of what hearn and sky would, AJ is the real winner as he is garunteed 50 mil, wilder and his team have to sell the tickets and promote the event, wilder will probably end up with less than 12.5 mil which is what hearn offered him.
well hearn has said that this fight may generate 40-50 million, not 100, so if this fight generates 60 million, 50 of that is going to AJ...
What a couple of absolute morons. SKY aint backing AJ or Hearn. SKY SPORTS are. Rupert Murdoch aint personally bank rolling Hearn's BS career, Barney Francis is. By your idiot logic, Frank Warren and Tyson Fury are now the biggest money in boxing as they're backed by BT. BT makes many multiples of the money Sky UK make, so that must mean Warren has billions of quid to make fights. GTFO with your abject stupidity. Haymon and Showtime Sports have INFINITELY more money than Sky Sports and Matchroom. In the past few years they've put on the biggest PPV boxing events in history. Sky and Hearn aint done F all and their "Massive" stadium fights don't come anywhere near the gates, PPV or overall revenue of what Al and Showtime do.
