A slight step up for Lee McGregor, I think he's going places so would be good to see him tested. A domestic dust up would be nice as well.
yeah thats what I mean there is more people and money in Glasgow hence they get the budgets for builds like Hydro over Edinburgh bud. I think if/when he gets a world title shot they should go for Easter Road. That would be amazing, that would be the defining moment that pushes him into super stardom (in Scotland) and he would be a national hero. Im sure Eddie will be keeping an eye on him, he knows how much money a Scottish fighter can generate.
It's a very good fight for Taylor, very clever match making and I believe he beats Postol and beats him in style. See a few comments about Matchroom moving fighters slowly, I think that's a little harsh because they do move some fighters rather quickly.
Ah sorry, I picked that up wrong. If we didn't waste money on things like the trams then perhaps we might be able to build a couple of half decent venues haha. Agree with that, although as a Jambo I'd much rather see the Castle than ER
Hats off to them, what an opponent for your 13th pro fight. I hope he does the job. Still though, curious opponent to take on when there's no title on the line
Na, in my Opionon they move them way to slow, mainly because the fighters the bring in gerbil peanuts so it a relatively cheap model, it gets to a point when some fighters are thrown in at the deep in to see if the sink or swim, all round Eddie Hearn wins.
If josh beats viktor at this point in his career, i will be very impressed and he has a legit clsim for the no1 spot @140lb. Postol is a clever fighter. Very good at controlling the range and that will be taylors hardest puzzle to solve.
Taylor's a gid Hibee so mare chance o him fighting at ER or the castle than him fighting in the pink bus shelter that's for sure.
It's risky matchmaking but great for Taylor's rep if he pulls it off. It might be a tougher match-up than the eventual title challenge. It's a little hard to say, Postol didn't impress in his comeback and at 34 you're only as good as your last fight.
If taylor wins he sends out a big message to the superlightweight division. If he beats postol, next fight for the WBC might be in the US?
I know he's a good fighter but Taylor will stop him imo..once he gets past the jab he's gonna get murdered with pressure and body work
Edinburgh Castle can hold 10,000 for concerts so why not boxing? It's the perfect size for boxing too.
