Manny should have gotten himself some IV bags and a TUE then ya think? Then you girls would love him.
So then your boy Flyod must've hired Ariza for them shakes too? But but So then your boy Flyod must've hired Ariza for them shakes too? But... but.... Floyd clean doe.
His power was obviously still there. Manny still managed score plenty of knockdowns and he hurt his opponents in every fight. (The only exception might be Clottey)
He never had concussive power at 147. How many times you need to act surprised about this?? You lose power going up in weight. Pac made the choice to trade power for speed, for ex vs Margo. Read the effing news stories. He weighed in at 144lbs. Pac wears guys out with his speed. And stop making lame ass threads like this. You provide fodder for demos like a moron, no offense. Unless that's what you're really after??
He was the same Manny for two fights after Cotto (Clottey and Margs) After that he started to decline - but i would argue it was more mental than physical... He became a jesus freak and didn't want to "hurt" people. He'd been fighting as a professional for close t0 18yrs and had mastered the art of winning rounds and decisions. Thats why you saw him B.S. around with mosley. he thought he could do the same with JMM3 and Bradley...Both fights sucked. His last great physical performance was JMM4 but unfortunately he went against another disgusting mexican drug cheat (Clenelo is the next in the great and honorable lineage) and was savagely KO'd. The rest is a boring history.
Pacquiao didn't decline after the Cotto fight, he just ran out of slower plodders who are left hook happy to fight. Just because Juan Manuel Marquez makes Pacquiao look ordinary doesn't mean he's declined. Pacquiao's decline imo takes a dip when Marquez put him to sleep, but its been a slow and gradual decline from there due to father time. The Pacquiao of today is nowhere near as quick and fast as he used to be so of course he's not going to overwhelm fighters with speed and volume as he once did.
His decline was more after the Margarito fight, he didn't look as quick, I really noticed this against Bradley the first time round. He actually looked physically better against Marquez in the 4th fight than he did in a couple years, but ran into a perfect punch. Pacquiao already had a lot of wear-and-tear on him. He started fighting pro at 16, had a high energy style, and was never a defensive genius.
The Margarito War took something out of Pacquiao. Yes, Pacquiao lost 1, MAYBE 2 rounds, but he had to walk through fire and brimstone in that fight. Pacquiao didn't enjoy the benefit of a fight night weight of 155+ as most welterweights do. He was 148.
Never said anything about concussive power. He never had huge power after he left 126. But he had enough in 2009 to stop Cotto.
Yeah. I thought he peaked (for the higher weights) against Cotto, but he still looked very good against Clottey and Margo. It was the Mosley fight where I thought Pac was started showing signs of decline. Pac dominated Shane, but even so, he still was showing more tactical weaknesses, and he didn't seem to have the same energy level or intensity.
I dont know dude. Pacquiao didn't even win a decision on American soil until about 2008 or so. He was a puncher. Then he stops knocking people out in 2009. 2009 was his last stand really. When a puncher hasnt had a KO in years he's changed.
Same I thought Cotto was his best performance from a tactical standpoint. Pacquiao physical peak was 2003-2004 at the lower weights. But he was more savvy against Cotto, Hatton and Diaz.
