That's all great .. but he did fight, he did make weight, he was clearly in terrific condition and beat older men. Long try at tryin to make a weak point.

It wasn't really a long try, all I did was dig up a quote from Calzaghe that clearly states he wasn't the same fighter after the Kessler fight. It's a shame we've gone back and forth on this particular fighter over the past week or so, it's actually been nice that we've kept it clean and purely boxing related. Joe fought only 1 long fast 168 fighter and was nearly stopped in 2.

The facts are we will never know, like all the posts on every boxing forum et al. However the best Super middleweight ever vs an exceptional welter/super welter well out of his prime and weight class. Let me think? Hearns would suffer in this fight, beaten to the punch and confused. He is such a well schooled boxer that the random attacks from the wrong stance would negate him. Calzaghe wouldn't beat him at welter ever because he was never there at super middle I can't see a way for tommy to win. If Joe gets cracked it won't be by the best puncher at that weight he ever took one from. Who had the better jaw, hearns or Joe? Not close bad fantasy fight.

well hearns chin was fine at lhw, but calzaghes had him floored by 40somethings serially. so hearns easily.
