    Pretty much. Sparring partners are there to help work on different facets of the main fighter's game. But sparring partners tend to want to maximize their learning opportunity and so they bring it more.

    Spadafora owned Floyd, but Floyd would wash him in a real fight. And I think Spadafora even said that he was in fighting form while Floyd was just starting out.
