I think furies team will want it. Not sure about Joyce,s tho. Although they wanted chisora who,s decent...hes tailor made for Joyce. The older guys find it hard to keep up with the younger fresher guys who have the height and reach on them to boot. He doesn't have any of that really over Hughie. People forget how young fury is. He's been pretty competitive with parker. Who,s took Joshua the full 12 without being in any real trouble himself. If fury keeps developing...changes his game up a bit...he won't be far away.

I reckon Joyce,s team should take it tho. Its gonna be hard to get him fights. Dont really rate him that highly tbh. Hes good without being great. The top guys will beat him. He,ll also have tough fights with guys outside the top guys. At least with Huey you might lose...you probably won't get beating up too badly tho. And should be competitive. I m not sure Joyce has too many decent options atm...stuck between a rock and a hard place...hes probably too good for the money on offer to fight him. And not good enough to be a star ..be as well going down the British title route.

I also think like others on this thread that Hughie’s footwork & defence is absolutely sublime. However, from what I heard from an interview with him with IFL, i’m concerned that he’s not took on board all the lessons from that Parker fight.

He acknowledged that he has to be more proactive with his offence. That’s a positive, and i’m looking forward to seeing if he improves this aspect of his fighting make-up against Sexton. However...he compared his defeat to Joshua’s victory against Parker, and spoke about how he did exactly the same thing by using the jab and nullifying Parker’s attack. Someone needs to sit him down and explain to him why a judge would score a round for AJ but not for him. It wasn’t about boxing politics.

Joshua fought on the front foot, and held the centre of the ring. He had Parker back pedalling for the majority of the fight on the end of his jab. Hughie fought on the back foot, skirting around the edges of the ring, flicking out the jab, often with his back against the ropes. Although he was making Parker miss, it was Parker showing the effective aggression and ring generalship. There’s a very fine line between defence and running. You have to throw clean hurtful shots.

Hughie will is a very promising fighter. He will achieve great things if he learns from his mistakes.

Yeah I thought I heard him say that...comparing his fight with Joshua. Honestly thought I,d heard him wrong at first. Probably just what a lot of boxers do...kind of delude themselves. Seems to help some but be detrimental to others. I m with you tho I think he,s the type who,d benefit more from the honest truth of it.

In hindsight parker was a bit too soon for him...experience wise plus parkers a pretty good all rounder. But it is something to build on rather than dwell on the defeat which kind of makes it disappointing with that comment about the Joshua parker fight. Tbf parker kind of forced him to run. He,d naturally stand his ground a bit more against lesser opposition. Just needs to keep picking up experience now, developing his body a bit more and knowing when to transition and sit down on his shots a bit more. Outside of that there's not a lot not to like. Think Joyce is a great fight for him atm depending on the sexton fight. Joyce a good fighter without being great. Exactly the type of fights Huey needs atm. Would favor Huey to win it.

I think the Fury's convinced themselves the Parker fight was a bad decision, so they probably don't think theres that much of a problem with his performance. There's no way you could give it Hughie, although I come away from that fight thinking with a few tweaks hes got a lot to work with. It was bad tactics and a lot of blagging from team Fury at the end

Hughie Fury would make most people look bad ! Whilst I admit he is not without skill I find him very boring I would guess that if everyone fought like Hughie boxing would no longer be a contact sport ? He should get decision over Sexton and then would be interesting to see if they take Joyce should he win .

Should it happen (it won't) it will be another snoozefest featuring "shades of Ali" aka running away from Fury.

Don’t right Sexton off he might spoil the party and bulldoze Hughie into an early swing fest.
