These two slamming together would definitely justify a rematch .Both loved a war ,and that's what we'd get. Joe would rock Holy several time s with that left ,,whilst Frazier gets caught time after time by the uppercut s . First fight .Frazier wins by split decision. Second fight .Holy field has to pick him self up to stop Frazier on the ropes .
That was easy. Holyfield knew he had Tyson's # by the middle of round 2. Fighting Joe Frazier on the other hand is bad for your health. Joe is not going anywhere and he isn' t looking for a way out.
Perhaps. He just doesn't look right. Totally exhausted already in the second or third round. Compare that with the pace he managed to keep over 12 with a better Bowe in the first two fights.
No fighter that actually existed really encapsulated these words from Rocky II like Frazier did: "I saw you beat that man, like no man's been beat before. And the man kept coming after you." This content is protected Now, I think don't think Tyson was a quitter that folded against anyone that stood up to him. Tyson had a stronger will than the vast majority of people, as do most champions. But Frazier was just something special. Half insane actually. The man truly didn't know the word "quit". He wouldn't hesitate or get frustrated. He would keep coming in and throw his left hook to the ribs, the kidneys and the head as long as he had legs to stand on, no matter what Holy threw at him. He also didn't start his shots from the outside as Tyson often did, which helped Holy to time him, but came in underneath and banged that hook. A different animal to face physically, tactically and mentally.
According to Holmes (I know this isn't conclusive) Frazier hit slightly harder than Tyson. (He sparred with Frazier.) Also, Holy's chin would be somewhat less relevant here as Fraizer would no doubt be chipping away at the body. This is probably a dead even fight.
Tyson was more powerful than Frazier. More explosive especially early in fights. The only area Joe may have an advantage would be carrying his punch into the late rounds. He was able to hurt fighters late Ali, Bugner, Mathis, some of that may just his conditioning.
That's a typical case of not giving full due to the guy that beat you. Frazier's left hook was probably not far, or even about equal, to Tyson's in terms of power - but punch for punch Tyson was clearly more powerful. His right was way ahead of Joe's.
This would be a can't miss classic! I give Frazier the slight edge but I think both men would be standing after 15 rounds of epic warfare.
