Canelo's hair sample tested negative for Clenbuterol, according to many different sources on the net.

Should the boxing world owe Canelo an apology for false accusations?

GTFOH. The guys that tested it underlined how iffy the follicle test especially for clen on light haired people, is. Proves nothing, definitively.

Considering even the thickest of course dark hair samples are only 40% accurate for positive reaction to clebuterol, the best guess is that lower melanin hair samples would be far less accurate in testing.
Essentially, a black fighter would be caught using 40%of the time if he were regularly using.
A white guy might never be caught...and yeah, Alvarez had white skin

Nothing is ever good enough. People who demanded a hair test got what they wanted, but the results were far from what they expected. Canelo is vindicated.

Even the lab that conducted the test called the result into question. Meaningless. Changes nothing.

    Nope.
What is there to apologise for?
Did he fail the drug test? Yes.
Is any amount of clen legal? Nope.
Could he have gotten it from the meat? Yes....
Does it mean he’s innocent? Nope.

He’s responsible for what’s in his system. Failed test - ban.
What happened is a separate question and he should’ve known better than wind up in the situation he’s at.

The labs own view of the test was pretty much:

We searched for a needle in a haystack. We didn't think we would find it, and sure enough we didn't.
