One week before the fight he is 163 and that’s before the water cut.

His ring weight is around 168-170.

Maybe. He's kinda old to be cutting to 154 though

I think he could have a few years back, those last couple of lbs to get to 154 now would be a real struggle.

How is it connected to the age?

lol you sure about that? Fighters cut water weight for check weigh ins, 99% of 154's weigh more than 163lbs in the ring. Not a single 160lb fighter weighs 163lbs a week out.

A natural athlete at 36 still beating roided up monsters in their prime. The toughest MW of all time there, folks.

Your body recovery as you get older simply isn't as good as when you are young. It's a side product of aging. Aging is basically several categories of problems (including cellular damage, various garbage accumulating in the body and cells not being replaced) If you are REALLY interested, check this out:

But basically the older one gets the less well and less quickly one's body recovers from stress. That includes drastic weight cut.

Why would he though? Don’t we have enough weight bullies already?
Having titles in multiple divisions is great so long as it’s a natural progression upwards.

Yeah I don't believe that, he would weigh less than Mikey Garcia in the ring

If he truly was walking around at 163lbs he could make 154 easy, but he isn't No 160lber walks around 3at 163lbs, That's less what what 154lbers walk around at and even some welter weights, GGG into the 170lbs 1 week out just like every single other 160lber.

It is harder to cut weight the older you are. That's a big reason why guys move up later in life. What actually happens is that they can't cut weight as easily so they end up fighting at their natural weight.

GGG was never a big Middle as this shows really. 4/5 yr ago he maybe could've done 154, but he aint no weight bully. Natural born killer GGG, and as clean as a whistle

No way he could without draining himself completely. He's pretty water drained in that pic already.
