I keep seeing Haymon mentioned, but is there any source of him saying anything regarding his backing of this fight and pledging $50m? I can't find anything.

Well AJ did say lets roll, Wilder will have that on his phone as written proof, all he needs to do is prove he was in New York when he posted his instagram message. This is just getting more stupid by the day, ive been loving it its all very entertaining but even im getting bored of it now.

Al Haymon is a terrific promoter.....

    WBC World Heavyweight Champion
    41-0, 40 KO's

    0 PPV's
Earning 10% of the IBO belt holder.

This man is giving Hearn a lesson!

He’s only verbally agreed to fight him, there’s no stipulation about anything else at all!

No timescale, no venue no control over anything at all, just that Joshua will fight him. Assuming any of this NewYork verbal agreement stuff has any weight or bearing, all Joshua has to do to keep his side of the deal is fight Wilder at some point before one of them retires or dies because nothing more was agreed to. In fact Joshua could turn up with a couple of pillows and have a pillow fight and as things stand Wilder would have to pay him $50 Million.

Seems Wilder’s team think everyone has a gradeschool level mentality to believe they actually want to fight when they even refuse to meet the opposing team

    How comical is that?

This has become a comedy show due to Wilders BS

A Joke is what it is.

Make a ridiculous offer, set up a meeting, cancel the meeting, rearrange it and duck that one too. Don't turn up to the AJ/Parker fight like everybody thought you would.

It's not even subtle FFS. Team Wilder's bluff has been called and they've been made to look like amateurs. It's embarrassing and cowardly. We all know what the score is here. This is a guy who soiled his underwear when Fury stepped to him in the ring because he had nowhere to hide. Action speak louder than words, and whilst Wilder has a big mouth it's clear he is happy in his $2m a fight bubble fighting club fighters and barking on social media. The point has come where someone has come to take what's his and as he can't ignore it he's concocted this charade to save face.

I wonder if Wilder’s team actually think the public are so naïve to believe their nonsense

At this point everyone sees that it’s a joke

Wilder does NOT want to risk his title against Joshua

    Period

like you Brits say, no fans travel like yours. watched the IIHF world championships, div 1 a. it was held in Budapest Hungary. The UK games drew twice the attendance of any games not involving host Hungary. Congrats on winning promotion for the second straight year and returning to the top division for the first time since 2003.

    Oh, ok lol.

We're just a sporting nation in all honesty.

We tend to follow sports as a whole, rather than just 1 or 2.

That's why it's always amusing when we hear 'Boxing is the biggest thing apart from Soccer over there'.....

I think it's fair to assume than in a week, 50% of our population either play, attend or watch, some kind of sport.
