Let me clarify for you...perhaps there WOULD be little enough with Ingle using peds...if...IF ingle was, for example, a postman, a car mechanic or something similar. But ingle isn't a postman. He is a boxing trainer. That puts him in a position of responsibility. He is a leader. A role model. He needs to be clean. Is any of this sinking in with you?

He's been weight training for about 34 years and never, ever misses a session and has entered natural body building contests.

"Nattie" bodybuilding contests are essentially a way for amateurs to enter bodybuilding comps without committing hardcore to the insane steroid regimes taken by serious competitive bodybuilders.

Haven't read the whole thread but who cares if Ingle is or has juiced, he's not the one fighting. Re Peds, Lance Armstrong was tested and passed 500 times in career....actually makes you wonder what fighters have dabbled without their trainers even knowing. Loads probably, it wasn't that long ago you could buy "pro-hormones" literally off the shelf from supplement shops that were far, far stronger than most conventional "gym aquired" steroids.

Stop talking like Ingle is using PEDs, no proof he is. Even if he is however, see below.

Couldn't agree more. It seems like a lazy stereotype to cast the top promoters and trainers as having juiced up fighters.

Brook and BJS are the two marquee fighters of the Ingle gym and none of them has ever avoided a test or failed one. Fact is most the big fights they've been it them that has called for VADA etc..

    Simple question:
Has its chief trainer, ingles association with bodybuilding, (a "sport" synonymous with drug use, coupled with drug use), combined with kid galahads positive drug test, helped or hurt the ingle gym and its boxers? Helped or hurt? Can ye answer that please?

Galahad was on the cusp of a breakthrough at world level when he tested positive. A great prospect. His career had tanked completely since. Just boxerec him and you will see his opponents over the last few years....absolute nobodies. He should be well in the mix with Quigg, Warrington, selby etc. Instead he is nowhere. A pariah. Frampton won't give him a payday. Nobody wants him as a result of his drug use. Drugs have really cost him, haven't they?

He might have learned his lesson and be clean now. He might even still make it to the top. If he has learned his lesson I certainly hope so. I have no desire to see him fail. But without a doubt drugs ruined his career. It's a self evident fact.

You used to wax lyrical about Shane McGuigan. He's pumped himself up with weights and worked with David Haye.
Does Shane McGuigan need to get tested?

Ingle's knowledge of weight training and dieting has definitely helped his fighters. His fighters are big and strong at the weight. The guy who handles the nutrition for the gym has worked with the likes of Campbell and Flanagan for world title fights and has been working with Fury recently. Top fighters have joined his gym and others are wanting to join.
Frampton relinquished his European title when Galahad became mandatory. He's never wanted to face him.

Undoubtedly the knowledge of weight training and diet can only help. But equally there is no denying the whiff of scandal surrounding the gym. The career of Kid Galahad has stalled spectacularly. I hope he has learned his lesson and can bounce back. It's bad when the worlds number one at your weight announces he is boycotting you. Maybe Carl will soften his attitude and give The Kid some work as a spit bucket boy...working his way up to a sparring partner. Who knows, maybe even a "sympathy fight" down the road.....;)

One thing is for certain, El Pollo has no excuse for eating tainted meat period! El Pollo is rich, he can buy the most expensive organic beef.......................if he were poor I could understand perhaps, but not if he is rich...................what is he doing eating tainted meat if he is rich?!
