All fighters are overrated or underrated by someone.

Haye was a top 5 heavyweight of his era, but it wasn't a particularly deep era and he was able to pick up a belt due to this along with his marketability. The Klitschko's were clearly a couple of levels above him like they were with everyone else during their reign.

He was fast, athletic and hit very hard. Nobody hurt Valuev like he did, nobody KO'ed Chisora like he did, his power was legit. But he was a cruiserweight among an era of giants and his resume is lacking. He also had a style that meant he looked good vs guys that came to him like Chisora but good boxers that could move would always give him issues.

He was a great cruiserweight but never anything but a good heavyweight. Never anywhere near as good as Wlad or Vitali but better than the likes of Arreola, Ibraghimov, Chageav, Peter etc. Povetkin along with the Klitschko's also ranks higher in regards to heavyweights of that era but other than them I wouldn't favour any other heavyweights from then above him.

Think what people underestimate is how difficult it is too jump up to heavyweight. Hayes jump was actually pretty successul. Wlad dominated and knocked out most. Haye was never really hurt and stayed for the twelve. The klitchko,s just a bit too good at using the many advantages they had over him. They we,re too good over even guys more their size.

Outside of that it wasn't,t really the standard of opponents he beat but how he went about it. He battered Ruiz and Barrett. Harrison and chisora. Valuev was pretty much a freak fight and losing to klitchko no real shame in that.

He became a bit too reliant on his power. Apart from that haye was a dangerous and very good fighter. I don' see him being overrated. Very few get great success jumping up from cruiserweight. Natural weights a big thing in boxing.

    What's Valuev's best win?

Valuev got handily beaten by Chagaev. Plus he was heavily wobbled against Bergeron and some argued he was borderline robbed vs. a 48 year old Holyfield.

Yes he is. I know it's rich coming from me calling a pro fighter a *****, but for a professional fighter he is the biggest ***** of them all.

Is Haye vs Bellew II really happening next weekend?

I could've sworn I read something about Haye getting injured and the fight getting postponed.

It's literally a couple of seconds of footage.

Richard Towers said Wilder smashed Haye up in sparring. Make of that what you will. I doubt he would make that up especially as he could bump into Haye. Boxing's a small world.

His cruiserweight resume is actually almost as thin as his fraudulent heavyweight career.
The idea that he "cleaned up" at cruiser or was "a great fighter at cruiser" is a joke.

His true lasting legacy will be the win against Chisora, and the press conference brawl that inspired it.

I saw the fight with Valouev, Jim Watt was commentating, he wanted Haye to win the fight. At one time Jim Watt said that Haye is losing the fight, that he can't win a fight without throwing punches, Don King was in on that bad decision, called it a split decision. Valouev won that fight, Jim Watt also had Valouev winning. How can you win a fight while running and not throwing punches? Hell, Jim Watt former champion, commentating from the UK, a Haye fan, yet he told the truth. Don King had Valouev set-up, all Haye did was run like hell! Haye did not win a split decision, he lost the fight. You can't win without landing punches!
