I think attributes such as speed and athleticism are the first things to decline in a fighter with age. He’s 37 now and even without all the injuries and inactivity he’s not going to be the same fighter he was at 30. If i’m wrong I will be on here afterwards ready to take a ribbing. However, Bellew will beat him again. If he thinks this will prove all the doubters wrong he’s going to be disappointed. People will say it’s the injuries again.
On a separate note, does anyone know what time the press conference is, today? I think it’s today anyway...in Liverpool.
Because its a load of bull****. Meaningless, fake WWE nonsense. The fact it is PPV is an absolute joke and anybody who pays for it is a complete mug
That’s not true though is it? It’s a decent card first of all. Secondly the main event was a bit of a show and a circus act at first but it was entertaining. Gave us an end result I don’t think many predicted and this time around I’ve seen less of the wwe stuff and I’m actually looking forward to it. Whether you like it or not Tony Bellew is one of the best British fighters of the last decade, David Haye is one of the best British fighters of 10/15 years, maybe all time! It’s an interesting match up.
The undercard is decent yes but still not worth a PPV. Sorry but this fight is a load of shite. The first one was a load of shite and this one will be worse.
No real fireworks at the press conference...Salas had a go at Bellew for being disrespectful, which was pretty funny...He was right too, it is disrespectful to constantly try to talk over people. Especially when it’s someone who has achieved as much and been in boxing for as long as Salas has...
I thought Salas was a bit out of order personally, Bellew was respectful and full of praise for him. I prefer it when trainers keep out of the trash talk. I only like it when trainers defend their fighters like Peter Fury against Don Charles. I did like the concept of allowing fans to ask questions though, although the vast majority of the questions were shades of James Helder. True boxing fans will give Bellew full credit if he can beat Haye again. Haye has posted videos of him doing exercises which would not be possible if he had even a minor injury so he is fully fit. I just hope whatever the result is, it’s not because someone has suffered an injury during the fight. I want a conclusive end to this.
How was Salas out of order? He was asked a question by Adam Smith and trying to answer it and then Bellew constantly speaks over him and acts a tit... A lot of fighters would do it but he claims to be respectful. Respect is more than just giving people praise.
Bellew 16 Haye 44. Yeah so the forum gives Haye a 75% chance of revenge. I’d personally make it 60/40 Haye maybe even 55/45. Just massive concerns about whether his body holds up.
After the press conference I have a feeling Haye is going to win easily...seems confident Bellew won’t hear the final bell...I know he said that last time but this time he knows what to expect in there...
