Do you think this is the way fighters like Benitez learned to slip and see punches coming?

Really good fighters seem to have such great reflexes that it seems like they know what the opponent is going to do before he does.
That is because the really good fighters do know because they are making him throw a particular punch at a particular time.

He was a pretty complete fighter, not outstanding at any one thing, but good at just about everything.

I still have yet to find a weakness in his game other than sometimes fighting down to the level of his competition (cowdell)...some people think he struggled with fighters who didn’t come forward...but against a tall long dangerous counterpuncher in ford, Sanchez completely adjusted his style the last 5 rounds and dominated Late. When he wanted too, their wasn’t a thing he couldn’t do.

And when the competition got better...Nelson, Gomez, Lopez, that’s when Sanchez got better. He brought his best at the big moments and seemed to always show a next level when his opponent would start to take control of the fight.

No doubt he had fought Arguello or Pedroza in mega fights, you would have seen spectacular peak performances from Sanchez

'El Radar' Wilfred Benitez. I don't think reflexes like his can be taught - he just had them instinctively.

I still love that story from Ray Leonard in their fight, as told in Sports Illustrated.

Ray threw like 25 right hands in the first round. Missed every single one.

He came back to the corner and Dundee told him to forget about throwing the right, concentrate on the jab and hook.

Ray’s response: “But he’s RIGHT THERE.”

I don`t think Camacho did the stuff on this vid, he didn`t usually slip punches as much as move out of danger with quick feet instead, Jones also used a lot of movement rather than slipping in front of an opponent like a Duran or a Benitez.

Ray was always better with his lead hand anyway, he used to miss a lot of right hands.

He was improving on defending against the counter right when he tragically died.
