Beating Tito is better than drawing with Canelo
Beating Oscar is better than beating Brook who jumped straight from 147
Beating Holmes is worse than (barely) beating Jacobs
Beating Joppy is better than beating Lemieux
Beating Johnson is better than beating Stevens
Echols, Vanderpool, Daniels, Allen, Eastman and Jackson is maybe slightly worse than Murray, Geale, Monroe, Macklin, Rubio, and Proksa

    Hopkins is still ahead.

And let's be honest Hopkins would've handled Jacobs and Canelo with no controversy.

Alls I know is, if GGG had fought his first 6 fights at light heavy, and his best wins at middleweight were against guys who started at super featherweight and welterweight, it would be the Exhibit A proof of what a bum he is.

Its such a messed up situation.
Same with Golovkin's Interim WBC belt.

He may have had issues with Jacobs' length but I still think he'd win. He'd beat Canelo.

    Echols was ranked #5
    Allen was ranked #2
    Eastman was ranked #1

I would say they are better wins than Rubio , Macklin , Murray who were bottom half of the top ten .. and #8 ranked Carl Daniels was better than non -ranked Willy Munroe.

Golovkin has 3 wins against top 5 ranked opponents.. Hopkins has 6

    #5 Autwun Echols
    #3 Keith Holmes
    #2 P4P Felix Trinidad
    #8 Carl Daniles
    #2 Willy Joppy
    #2 Robert Allen
    #1 Robert Eastman
    #9 John Jackson

Hopkins is taller with longer reach than Jacobs and just way too crafty for him imo. I can see him pitching a near shutout against Canelo.

Golovkin should be excused for his choice of opponent this time round, as he has just pulled out of a mega fight rematch due to unfortunate circumstances. All the stress, changes and uncertainty over the past few months clearly warrants a safety first approach this weekend and if you don't agree with that and you're calling him out for it then your either 1. Incredibly disrespectful 2. Completely dilusional 3. Completely out of touch with modern day boxing/prize fighting or 4. Looking for an excuse to knock his resume or 5. All 4

And who exactly were those "blown up" welter weights?

Murray was better than those three regardless of rankings at the time. I do prefer them over Rubio. Macklin was at about their level. Beating Daniels was better than Munroe, but Munroe is turning out to be pretty good in hindsight.

The fact that you cite Tito and Oscar as good Middleweight wins is a bit ridiculous.

Oscar: He only has 2 fights at MW. He was on the good side of one of the bigger robberies in recent memory against Sturm. Then he lost to Hopkins. He was not a MW.

Tito: Only fought 2 meaningful fights at MW. Beat Joppy then lost to Hopkins.

Both of these guys didn't even belong at MW. It's like saying Brook is a good MW win for Golovkin. It's a good win name wise, but hardly worth mentioning.

And Lewis is probably a top 5 heavyweight of all time. Golovkin is not
