I thought Melvin Jerusalem beat him in their fight. Moonsri had a lot of trouble with Jerusalem’s speed and combination punching. I’d like to see a rematch.

Estrada showed a lot of heart, but his style didn't match up well with Menayothin's precise counter punching.

According to BoxRec the card featured two additional matches, both scheduled as 6-rounders:

    • Kittithat Ungsrivongs vs. Petchmangkorn Sor Visetkit @ featherweight, with Ungrivongs (aka Wanchana Menayothin/CP Freshmart) scoring a third round knockout to start his comeback trail following the loss of his zero to Que Xu in China six weeks ago
    • Kittipong Jaigrajang vs. Supertop Singhnamchai @ super bantamweight, with Jaigrajang (aka Oleydong Sithsamerchai) taking a UD6.
Problem is neither of those is the one they showed a couple of rounds of at the end of the broadcast. The guy in the "A-side" trunks was a tall southpaw with a skinny face and wispy little beard (I noted the passing resemblance to Robert Guerrero). I've seen both Ungsrivongs and Jaigrajang before numerous times and I'm pretty sure neither of them was the guy. Also, both of their opponents have Thai names and the man wearing the foreigner trunks had very Sinicized features - maybe not straight-up Han but Vietnamese of Filipino perhaps. I really don't think he was Thai.

Interesting the point deduction affected the outcome - was it legit?

    Yeah, just like rorschach said:

It was night and day; when Estrada was staying clear of that lane and not getting touched with the right hand, Moonsuree was putty in the Panamanian's hands and getting schooled. Whenever the poor guy forgot to look out for it, even for a nanosecond, he got CREAMED and put on Queer St. for minutes on end. :shakehead: Really bizarre, schizophrenic fight.

What about Knockout Da Gawd? I would favor him against Menayothin.

Everyone be sure to check out Pradabsri's performance as well, I know those with only casual interest in Thai boxing probably only peeked in this thread because of the triviality of Moonsuree "tying the record" of Mayweather, but honestly his countryman in the same division was in much finer form and completely outclassed an ordinarily very capable Indonesian journeyman:

At least skim through and scope the guy's skills. I think he'd beat Moonsuree to be honest. Mirin was able to tag him cleanly a few times, but Moonsuree isn't the world's biggest hitter the way you'd think from watching today's fight; Estrada is just glass-jawed.

My current Thai straw h2h rankings:
    1. Thammanoon Niyomtrong (aka Knockout CP Freshmart)
    2. Panya Pradabsri (aka Petchmanee CP Freshmart)
    3. Seansuree Moonsuree (aka Wanheng Menayothin)
    4. Wittawas Basapean (aka Samartlek Kokietgym)
    5. Tanawat Nakoon (aka Satanmuanglek CP Freshmart)

^ Nakoon struggled badly with Melianus Mirin a few months ago, I had him barely squeaking by at 96-94 and had it been a 12-rounder he might've been screwed. So needless to say, while styles do make fights, class also tells and this kid isn't a flea on Pradabsri's ass...but watch, they'll probably bad his record up with another 30-40 wins before cashing him out in a world title fight that he'll lose handily...all while poor Panya fights tooth and claw for another opportunity because of the setback of "failing" (in what many are saying was a robbery against Chong)

I had it 114-113 Jerusalem. The point deduction was ridiculous. Just an accidental low blow, first time it happened in the fight. There was no warning beforehand, the referee just decided to take a point away. Horrendous.
